awww sarah, i'm sad....
when u say he's not techno, what do u consider tracks like taotek, amazing, & tormented???
his own productions??
just look at his tracklistings! he plays stuff from liebing, bailey, quartz, speedy J, adam beyer, renato cohen, deetron(which u said u liked!!) santiago nino, luke slater, santiago nino.....
thats just from tha aria tracklisting! and most of the same stuff he played when he was here november 22nd!!
so his mioxing is not the greatest but hey... mauro has always said, he doenst play trance, he dfoenst play house, he doesnt play techno... he just plays good ! |

I really don't know what it is. That Deetron track - I don't know if I would even call it techno...it's borderline trancey at the end. Bah, in any event...
I liked a lot of the individual tracks he plays, on their own, but when he puts them all together it sounds the same to me. Yes, I like that speedy J Adam Beyer - collabs 100 record, but not when it's played with a bunch of other records that all sound the same...
I guess what I'm saying is that I like some of the tracks he plays I like on their own, but it's the way he programs his sets that doesn't grab my attention.
(and some of his productions I like as well - I was debating buying tao-tek when I was wax shopping on Friday - but I wouldn't want a whole set to sound like that.)
I'm not making any sense jarek, I'm still working on coffee #1 of the day over here. |

| Lets just agree that he has techno elements in his style w/ some tech trance. Hes not a hard driving techno dj like liebing or electro like vath. (and yes vath plays lots of electro). All i have to say is Oct 2002 was simply UNBELIEVABLE (system). after that...... I AGREE i have been rather disappointed. Im still holding on to the idea that he will bring the goods this time out. I'll be there for sure. |

Thanx TrickDadde, it only took over 15 posts for an answer to the original question... oh well, nice to see so many people interested in this event. I would still like to know if Distrik has a website so we could all confirm he's coming on the 11th!
I hope Picotto redeems himself at this event... either way, he's still the greatest! |

| urrggg...the real issue is not the DJ it will be the club. Distrikt is the worst place to get in to, 1 hour outside, dresscode, bastard bouncers....buttttttt....it should be crazy to hear some TECHNO in the place though...finally someone can take the speakers where no ty hiphop has taken them... |

when i saw him the first time i only knew one of his tracks, which is komodo. that track was trancey so i thought he played trance. but i realized after he no longer plays trance, but mostly techno. im not into techno that much.;) |
