ok bro, not to be a dick or anything, but another way is definitely not cheese. if you're angry, i understand. but another way is definitely the best non-cheese pvd track. you can call nothing but you, we are alive, etc, cheese but def not another way or words.
all the best,

Agreed.. Just because you donīt like a track doesnīt make it cheese..
Also saying Paul van dyk productions are as cheesy as Dj Sammys is laughable!
If you want to bash PvD then at least come up with some real arguments !! |

No I am saying PvD has never said he hates DJ Sammy as a person. He might very well have said he hates his music. They have probably never even met, unless they have briefly met in ibiza or something. And yes, Mixmag is a very magazine, and I thought it was established long ago that certain parts of that interview aren't entirely what PvD said.
And in denial? Like I could give a what PvD does or says. I have no interest in him as a person at all; I like and follow him for his music. He could very well be the anti-christ for all I care. Sounds to me like your a bit of a gimp. |
a gimp?
Why are you trying to be tough? i didn't even attack you yet!
just shows how everyone on this forum is trying to be a hardass.
Pathetic, really. |

I found your post very patronising, and it seemed like you thought I was making some sort of stupid point that had personally offended you. Go back and read it yourself; it was a pretty arrogant way to try and make your point. So I replied in the same manner as your post, and not trying to be a 'hardass' |

| well, just because a dj doesnt like the music, sometimes they have to play it for the crowd. |

Paul Van Dyk- What he has to say about TRANCE in the new MixMag...
In the October 2003 MixMag, Paul Van Dyk says the following about trance:
"Trance had become a dirty word. Thanks to Ian Van Dahl, Lasgo, Flip 'N' Fill and DJ Sammy, a generation of kids has grown up thinking trance is the tiest music since country and western.
Along with Armin Van Buurren, Tiesto, and Ferry Corsten, Paul Van Dyk and tracks like 'Connected' have saved trance, steering it away from the bird-sings-over-80s-remake formula that was making trance a laughing stock, bringing it back to what it was always meant to be - ing good dancefloor music that messes with your head.
He doesn't want to piss anyone off, so he doesn't like to talk about other DJs. With one exception: Ian Van Dahl gets a kicking for being completely 'cheesy'.
Cheesy records make proper trance look bad. Of course there are people who buy DJ Sammy records. They're not the same people that buy mine."
