Hrm. I can't say I had a great night overall. I managed to get my ass down there, refraining from going out with my other friend(s) who were celebrating a birthday, in the rain by myself....
I got into the club around 11:30 and was happy to see so many familiar faces again. I haven't been out to a TA event in about a month (since the anniversary party) and it was nice to chat with tara, matt, Carlos, Corinne, Peter, RJ, jarek, Jeremy, Emery, John, Ryan Parks, Chris (kurfew) and some others whose names escape me..
Steve was laying down some progressive that was getting everyone in a good mood for the night, and I'm glad I finally got to hear him spin! Steve I was going to come up and say hi finally but you looked pretty busy. ;)
I believe it was Tommy that came on next, but unfortunately there was a bit of an accident just behind the DJ booth curtain which required me to leave much earlier than I wanted. As I was standing talking to Jarek at the entrance to the booth behind the curtain, a 10ft long wooden 2 x 4 beam that was leaning against the wall came down and hit me across the face. There was an impressive amount of blood and Jarek went out to find John or Emery (thank you so much) and in the end, John took me to St. Mike's where I had 3 ghastly looking stiches. :(
The dr's told me I'm lucky the cut didn't go right through my lip (it almost did) or worse, that I didn't get hit in the eye. But I don't feel too lucky right now. I tried to tune into the streaming sets when I got home at 3:30 but no luck. I hope they were recorded, and can't wait to see a tracklisting.
I figured I would post all of that because someone asked me this morning if I got kicked out of the club. lol...
And I won't post any pics, since all of mine are pretty gross looking. |

Had a Great NIGHT!
Loved every minute of it....and the great response from all you TA's made it soooooo worth while. I appreciate everyones compliments last night, it means a lot to me. Sohaness started off the night very smoothly with flawless mix'n. Tommy then came on and blew the crowd away with his unique style ( HAMILTON REPRESENT), the Dj Sauce threw down a sick techno tech/trance set. These 3 Dj's set the bar pretty high for me but i fed off their energy and everything worked out great! Besides having no monitor, things turned out alright. I then stuck around for half of Kevin earth's set while he threw down some sick techno! To bad in the beginning of the night, the " 2x4" inncodent occured ( hope u feel better Sarah ). But big ups to Emery and John for recrute'n me in the first place and give'n me a chance...i really appreciate it. Sorry i'm really bad with names but met many new and old TA's last night that i'll be talk'n to soon enough. Great night guys, CAN'T WAIT FOR TA INVASION 7!! |
