Screw it, I just closed the poll that was created using the actual mod requirements as per Redeye's original instructions.
You can all do what you want, the blind can lead the blind, whatever.
I'm not in any position to say what should go on here, as my only real virtue is that I've been an enduring board member for a few years now, seeing newly registered members go from prolifically active posters - to naught.
This place is nothing but a popularity contest and I shouldn't have to post the particularizations in which I'm referring to.

Yeah, but from what I've been told, the same kiddie cliquishness is what dissuaded Redeye from posting and/or actively modding this forum.

I agree as well. I luv ya guys, but some of the threads have become just plain retarted and it seems so useless to reply lately. Don't get me wrong, i'm still at this forum multiple times a day, but i've been lurking more than posting because it's the same stuff over and over again. All the threads about picking a new mod have become kind of ridiculous, and I think when it all comes down to it, it should be up to the swampzor. Just my opinion :| |

| I think the emphasis has shifted on lot from when I signed on and now. It’s not so much about meeting people who share that same level of passion for the music but more about trying to the bigger or better fish in a rapidly growing pond. The over-opinionated shadow the rest of the members but that doesn’t mean we’re not reading and contributing. Whatever happen to posting positive constructive remarks? Nowadays it’s all about “post-whoring” like it’s a good thing. :rolleyes: |

i mean, i have to shut up because im guilty of it myself, but that doesn't mean that I don't ever contribute positively...i like to think i do (then again, I'm not a hater in terms of saying "everything sucks"...i attack with intelligence and logic, which is why i rarely get showed up by you peons :p)

I dont think post whoring is something that deserves an award or anything. But I like to chat with everyone here and I like to contribute my 2 cents everywhere applicable. After a while, it just adds up, but its not like I was in the PPR post padding - I use this place like another chat room. |
