[PvD REVIEW] roxy 27.2.04 (pg. 5)

| pvd played a decent set, i mean he didnt play many new tracks, same ol buti still enjoyed my self. I really loved that pitched down break beat tune, it reminded me of something ulrich schnauss would do. also i was amazed he dropped greece 2000, thas such a classic. face to face wa sanother nice one, i did want him to drop together we will conquer but i will live. good meeting some new ta's and the old ones. i hope to see ya guys at sasha & diggers, thas if i decide to go which i prob will. |

sorry to be the bad apple in the group of happy bunnies but i just wasn't feeling it. i felt that his set was much better in november and even then it was just ok.. i personally just thought that he had no flow-- and he's still playing old tracks (but not as many- i was gonna BUM RUSH The booth and BODY SLAM him if he played As The Bus Comes), altho there were a number of newbies that i couldn't ID.. i was loving the techno he threw down maybe around 3am?, there wasn't enough of it!!! and wtf, he's Still playing beautiful things and tunes we heard for the last 3 pvd shows.. i also really hated the way he just threw down straight-up techno after beautiful things, which is so proggy... anyways, dont friggin flame me or i'll moon you. it's just my opinion.

| Um, Im gonna take a guess and say that PvD played the Johnny Vicious Epic Vocal Mix of DJ Rap - Good to be alive, He played this track way back in 99 @ Club of Colors. Just a guess though. |

| PvD IS A GOD!!!! i had the most amazin nite of my life last nite. i got there at 830 n i was da first one in which was cool. then i went up front and stayed on the barrrier things on the front rite side of the stage the whole nite. i danced the whole nite and PvD's mix was truly amazin as u all kno!!! i absolutely loved the encores and for an angel at the end, u cant top that.... But now i cant hear n im mad tired but i would do it everyday... hey let me kno if anyone ercorded the set??:eyespop: :eyespop: :haha: :haha: :eyes: :D |

It was an amazing night. This was my first time seing PVD and i thought it was awesome gig. He tore the dance floor up, he was incredible. I met some of you guys by the bar(In the beggining i was wearing FCUK IN NYC white shirt, then i was wearing brown PVD shirt with white writing on it. I got my digi cam in, in the begging, but one of the security guards saw it and told me to put it away. I didnt have my digi cam for the whole night, except the end so i managed to get some vids and pics. Roxy was F U L L. There was no space whatsoever anywhere. On the danceflooor you were touching like 5 people at all times. I got my shirt signed right at the end, i threw it to PVD and he signed. My night sucked though cause i had horrible back pain, but i didnt give up and kept dancing.
During the beggining if you were up front, some douche kept yelling PVD, number 1 number 9...i think he said that more than 100 times and kept annoying everybody.
Overall, PVD created so much energy that it was just unbelievable.
I loved it. |

| Next time im gonna try to sneak in a mini dv cam, i recorded about 20 vids on my digi cam, the quality is awesome except the bass is awfully distored. |
