OMG. I think this was the best set from PVD that I have ever heard. I danced non-stop form 1:30 til the end. Loved the track list! I felt that PVD had energy all night long. The best is the way he interacts with the crowd, slamming his hands forward when he drops a phat baseline. Awesome!!! The system sounded pretty good, although I've heard better. The light show was amazing. The white backdrop by the DJ booth was sick. The crowd was better this time than in Nov.
Indy, I saw you up front girl, tried waving to get your attention. It was packed up front and everyone seemed like they were having an awesome time. I didn't want to push my way through and annoy anyone so I stayed to the side and eventually went to the back.:( I'll see ya next time!!!!;) Over-all, I couldn't have asked for a better night. Can't wait til Miami. I was going to go see Timo Maas instead of PVD, but after this party------Timo Maas who????? OH, BTW that track that was dropped from the vinyl, I think it was called Remember. Awesome track! Much Respect to Sean Tyas!! |

| Hey had a great night lots of fun PVD was amazing again never seems to fail me, almost shook his hand this time =) I was standing right next to the camera guy when they took the picture for BPM mag!! that was hott right in the club then they annouced him i never heard anyone annouce another DJ before beside tenaglia annoucing himself, anyway again the night was great, it was crowed but a movable crowd Yes soud system had its sweet spots but I knew Pvd would jack the sound system up to where he wanted it. Now does anyone know anything he played for at least the first 2 hours I have no idea what he opened with all I could recognize from the beginning was MIND CIRCLES!!!! soo good but other then that not a damn thing, he played his VANDIT mix of Crush twice it was not the original or hyper and a new mix of (Thats Life) prolly also a Vandit mix um he did not play Kallocaine and he did not play the spell 2004 that was the new Second Sun track, but all in all had a great night awesome vibe, I still agree his NOV set rocked that was and amazing set but this set was hardcore from start to end just BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!! |

We got to the club around 1:45 and the first thing that shocked me was lack of line - there were maybe 50 people in line or so. Usually, even if you pull up to PvD set 2 hours late, you still see a pretty substantial line, usually starting at the corner of West Street. That was actually a head scratcher - "what the hell? where are all the people? Did PvD show get cancelled?" Once we were in, my fears were relieved. PvD was on. The stuff he was playing at the time was hard - I couldn't tell if it was techno or prog - didn't really matter. I wondered around, met some people and ended up near the stage, where I got to say hi to Arturo and watched Edgar V get kicked off the stage for little while. Then, Danny T sneaked up behind PvD - I didn't know he was a fan.
Overall, for some reason I didn't feel the vibe in the crowd like before. Many people were dancing and having a good time but for some reason I felt that overall vibe wasn't really there. Overall, I would say that this set was 4/10. Like many said here - it lacked the flow, the speakers were out of wack - you could actually stand on one end of the bar and hear the reverb from the opposite corner - sounded like beats were not matched, on top of everything the sound wasn't as crisp as it normally is, it was rather distorted.
I didn't really care for track selection - didn't hear anything that really grabbed me. But that's just me. I think we're getting spoiled by easy access to new sets. Before, the novelty was the rush - now it is like "man, this song is sooo old".
I did like one song where there are male vocals "I feel you" - but I don't think it was a MarcoV song. He actually played that "I feel you" in male vocals and then it transitioned into Marco V's "I feel you". Can someone id that song? Also, great tunes were:
Ocean to Shore, Clear Blue Water, NuNRG tune (can't remember), and that slow song in the encore that kind of sounded like slow version of "crush" - Can anyone ID that?
One other funny thing - I bet my friend that PvD would play "nothing but you" at least once and then in encore he'd play it again. Let's say I paid off my drinks. ;)
Overall, I wish I saved some energy on Friday to see Ferry on Saturday.
See you in April for Armin! |

i am 100%, there was a song played in the beginning, and the end, and possibly some where in the middle that i was sure was second sun. Definitely Antoine's vocals - I believe there is a chance it was the spell "completed".... if not, it has to be something else but def. second sun. i would bet on it! whatever the case, the song was awesome, trancey but chilled out. |
