| I'm going next winter. Two-way tickets are $3000. My objective: find a way to cut that by at least $1000, hopefully more. I wanna visit the Phillipines too. Or perhaps i'll just go there in the first place instead of Thailand. The culture is a lot more westernized and it's a lot easier to socialize and meet people since most young people speak english. And i'm gonna tape the entire ing trip!! |

i've been to the Philipines .. all i remember is it being very hot and very dirty.. then again i was only 5 at the time..

anyways, one of my friend's friends went to Thailand some years ago and were supposed to stay for 7 days, yet they liked it so much they never came back... my sister too recently went there and absolutely loved it..
so yea, Thailand is definitely a must-hit spot

| Haha they never came back? That's awesome. I'm probably gonna end up doing the same thing someday. I'll secure myself financially then get the out. Not sure where though but i've got time to figure it out. Definitely a place where the beach is a walk away and the sun shines year-round. Philippines would probably be better suited for this since their culture is a lot more westernized, so there is less of a barrier. Speaking of which, i'm thinking of flying to Manila instead of Bangkok now. Still got 8 months to decide. |

In response to your first post, Mexico and Thailand are like night and day. In the end, i think you'd actually end up spending much less on entertainment in Thailand since the dollar is worth more there. Plus it's paradise! While Mexico is just... Mexico :p The plane tix are another story though :(
As for the girls, get used to it. The average Thai girl is about 5'2 and looks at least 4 years younger than she actually is. Same goes for a lot of other Asian girls. I know one from Vietnam who will probably need an id to buy liquer until she's in her 30's :D |

Just thought I'd post that, because I'm sure, some of those girls are not there on their own will, its kinda sick to think of a world like this, where girls are forced (either by someone, or out of necessity ) to whore themselves to tourists to make ends meat! |
