if he plays a similar set in sydney to the ones posted i am going to be in heaven! (tho suspiciously similar to his nye set, who gives a , it will go off!)
mostly hoping for street spirit, nyana, and suburban train
but ill prefer if radiohead themselves perform street spirit this friday night :)
i wouldn't object if he felt like dropping go (antillas remix) and roads (sultan & greek remix) either :P |

Yeah the Perth heat was a bit of a sham. One of the ppl that was supposed to compete didn't show and the first guy did something (sabotage?) to the tonearm and ed up the 2nd guy's set.

I played in Mexico in December 2002 with MoS as part of the Nescafe Global Tour but I didn't get asked to play at this comp. Pretty ghey if you ask me.[/SAD] |

feelinveryweird: you have superb taste!!! Me and Sid would both love all those tracks you mentioned, wouldnt we sid! Especially if he does the Portishead - Roads into Radiohead - Street Spirit again!!! :):):)
Now as for the up & coming's that played here in Sydney they dont have hepas of residencies - Synik has only robotique as a residency (a night in the brighton-up bar that holds maybe 50-100 people max!), and has played a few guest sets at things like sos and ear candy, there not residencies by any stretch and i think you'll find thats the same with the rest.
If you want to know the reason why most of the djs are house djs its prolly because a house dj can show of their skills better then a trance dj - you cant scratch and loop and do very much with trance (if you want it to still sound good), where as with house you NEED to do that to make it sound good and distinguish yourself from the rest - its that simple..... its a shame but thems the breaks (or house in this case :p)!!! |

OHHHH Baby. i cant wait to see Tiesto again. Time to bring out the tiesto shirt for the 2nd time in history i think.
Regarding his mixing..who cares really. Everyone always pays him out for his mixing ability and Armin was supposed to be 10 times better, but after Mobilehome and Canberra, Tiesto all of a sudden was god again.
No matter how good or bad his mixing may be sometimes he creates an atmosphere unmatched by any other dj i have ever seen.
Home sydney said the atmosphere when Armin played was the best they have seen.....well i think tiesto will take it to a whole new level.
I dont care what the other guys play as long as its not batty house. Im there for one reason only....TIESTO! |

Yeah totally agree with you Spang!
The atmosphere that he gives out just by being there is unlike any other. In Melbourne for NYE towards the end of Midro's set, everyone could see a little glimps of Tiesto on the backstage, and from that point on - it was pure excitement.
The mixing on that particular night was top notch, but indeed Tiesto can get really awful [gatecrasher set]... I hope he's in a good mood when he's down here :wtf: |
