Ok, maybe some will use this thread to start a flame but that would just go further to prove my point. What the funk is going on with TranceAddict.com lately? I mean - it used to be more or less civilized. Now, just about every other thread is used for flaming, insulting, arguing, fighting - etc. It's turning into an equivalent of gangsta rap site. What the hell is with the attitudes? IS TA community becomming just as hostile as the rest of the places you'd stopped visiting? Or am I just imagining things? Definitely seems like there's a lot more angst along the lines here - maybe its just attracting more and more people who just have no place else to vent. I mean if that's the case - that's just sad.... Thanks for letting ME vent.

Man, no offense to teenagers - but you must admit - that's the time when your hormones are completely out of wack, so I can understand when a 16 year old with plenty of emotional difficulties decides to take it to the masses - but that just drives away people in droves. I must admit, I am just as guilty of being provoked by and responding to some of the "flamers" in not of the nicest terms but that's my own fault, a reaction of sorts to the state of things it has become.
If you're under 20 - you probably think "old fart, what the hell does he know" but the truth is that somewhere after you hit 20, you level off in your emotional ups and downs and world does not seem like such a bad place to be. So, give it a try and don't bring your anger here - that's just my opinion. Sorry if it offended anyone, I'm not trying to stereotype, I just remember what I used to be like "at your age, young man/lady" :D |

| Well, what is happening in my opinion, as electronica surfaces closer to the main stream, this site is attracting a different kind of audience, some people who in which dont really know alot regarding the music, so they tend to start redicoulus threads, causing flame wars due to stupidity. That being said...there is alot of attutide regardless, on these boards. |

Just because it shows that I registered in 2002 doesn't mean I wasn't visiting these boards then. Back then I had a life :rolleyes: and didn't bother to register to post... :D |

Hahaaha! :stongue: is that irony? sarcasm? cynicism? truth? I can't seem to figure it out. But the fact is that this board was probably intended (originally) for discussion of various things related to trance (with some deviation). Now it has become too ugly to witness... Like a runaway train. IRC Chatrooms with huge following had fell appart for reasons similar to that - it became too immature to participate. Would hate to see ta.com head the same way. |
