Thinking about Applying to NYU...

Well you see, I'm looking at colleges early, and I'm thinking of applying to NYU except,
1)I want a Major in Comp Sci, and a Minor in Busiess, (does NYU even offer comp sci courses?)
2)Im in the middle of 10th grade, and I JUST recently started picking up my grades into the 90's(lower 90's), I used to get mid to low 70's beacuse i had no motivation, and didnt realize how an education is so important. Im also taking some AP courses, so I hope NYU notices, and gives me credibility for challenging myself. But im scared NYU wont accept me due to my past history of grades.
I know there is some people that goto NYU on this board, and i would like some input (if you dont mind), as to what they look for in a student, If I will be ok with my past history of grades, and if i should apply.

I didn't go to NYU, but if you think you might have any interest, give it a try and apply!
If you don't think you have the grades (and improvement can be seen as a factor), you can make up for it with SAT and achievement test scores, activities, recommendations, interview, and essay (and whatever has been added to the application process since when I did it, some time back in the stone age).
NYU does have a Comp Sci program

| There are better schools for comp sci but if NY is where ya wanna be NYU is a great school cept it cost a lot.. Ill prolly go there at some point seen how im ending up to be one of those people that just goes to school their whole life.... lol |

| NYC is an expensive city to live in. Most of your money will be going towards school and it won't leave much for going out. My friend wanted to go to NYU just cuz NYC has so much to do but found out it's hard to go out because it's so expensive to. |
