| owners would be tempted to start serving booze, then things get sloppy like hear in toronto some nights. At least u get the true ppl out even if the crowd is smaller. |

| i was asking myself why not enough people go check big djs... montreal isn't small but we're not even close to the attendance in toronto... so maybe the schdules might explain it... |

There will be definitly more people but not for the same reasons...
after-hours will become like clubs... people go there for no reasons related to music |

if I remember right, there's a law in quebec that says that you got to close a room at 3 when it serves alcohol.
so, that wouldn't work unless the afterhour club opens another room. |

why would they go if there's no alcohol?
i know so many people that just don't want to go at 4-5 and end it at 10... |

i don't think we come for the late hours, but rather the talent! if it was the same distance to Toronto I would go there more often because they start and finish earlier, its nicer! |

I personally think that havin a headliner at 1 is a good idea. But there's somethin important here to think of:
(let's just say malek was to open a new "club/after")
Is he doing it for the money (number of ppl that would come) or for the people?
If you're after the money (every1 would be) i think you'd be better off startin earlier cuz you'd be gettin more people.
(I heard so many times that the reason why people dont go 2 afterhours is because it's "late" and for the "drug use")
If the club was to host DJs earlier, you would be pleasin the ppl that complain bout the late hours and at the same time, you would be satisfyin the "too much drugs" people since drug use (i think) would go down since you've got alcohol.
Now, if you're after pleasing the people, i am sure there are a lot of ppl that are just used to the fact that "DJs in afterhours start at 3 and it ends at 10:00 a.m" and changing this idea might take a long time for those people to get used to it. Another thing to consider is whether u'd want to have alcohol.
Anyway, once again, i just think that more people would come and i think it's a good idea. But when more people come, does this mean that people are happy? (More people = more problems = less people happy) |

maybe its because they can't....
like me... I don'T have a car... when I go to afterhours... I can't get out of there before the metro station opens
other people have to get home early cause they have something to do the next day... and they don'T to sleep all day...
