If someone really wanted to, and maybe this has already been done, but they could mix smoothly through a wide swath of electronic music given the time and a careful track selection and using "linking points" such as "tech-trance" and "trance-'n'-bass" to knit it all together. On a related but not identical note, people used to think some of what James Zabiela did was nutty (in a bad way) too, but look at him now.

| on a side note, i hate how non-listeners classify all EDM as 'techno'. i've given up trying to tell them that techno is only a subgenre of dance music and that what i actually listen to is called 'trance' and is completely different from techno. oh well, it all sounds the same to them anyways.... |
