Are you talking to me? Because I'm pretty sure they just don't (or didn't) produced Trance heavy tracks; more like dark Tech-Trance grooves. Acid Nightmare doesn't seem like Trance to me, but correct me if I'm wrong!

All of these dj's have spun a Picotto record and DJ Rush as had a DJ battle with Mauro Picotto so I believe. |

heres how i see it...
ofcourse picotto is techno.. if not then wtf is he.. if you want to be elitest about the fact that he has had a dabble with the commercial side of things, and that perhaps his productions arnt as discerning as that of umek, then you seriously need to think about what your saying.. just cos you dont value a producers efforts or decisions, dosnt make them what they really are.
par examplé... DJ sammy ... any trance elitist will say that DJ sammy is commercial euro dancey bollocks.. but wether you like it or not.. heaven was played by some of your fave trance DJ's before he cheesified it and sent it in the charts... and just cos you dont agree with what DJ sammy did... dosnt make him not a trance producer... hell ill still take a baseball bat to dj sammy for what he is doing.. but you cant deny, no matter how much cheese is incorporated in his stuff... its still trance. ... exactly same for picotto.. yeah his productions may not be as dark or as experimental as you like to hear from a techno producer, i dont rate him as much as other techno DJ/producers but the guy is a techno jock, deal with it :) |

Radagast, this is NOT the case -- please do not make statements like this without researching the evidence thoroughly. I would do the same -- looking before I leap to such a conclusion. I'm surprised you say this after what you said earlier, which I thought was well-meant. Please feel free to look at a complete history of my past postings.
On a side note, if you find it bizarre I post this way, or find the way I type odd, it may or may not have to do with the fact I am autistic. So please, I gently ask you to take that under consideration. But I appreciate this website and these forums and am interested in participating with thoughtful conversation -- NOT spam.
Plus, it is ironically naive to assume that just people who register here are new, that they really do not know their trance. A status means something but does not mean everything under the sun. We could very have some ace producers & DJs posting under aliases and seeing what sort of reactions they get. Keep your minds open, grow with the music, value opinions from everyone old and new here if they are well-informed and well-written. Everyone starts as a baby and grows.

to be honest mate, i think that is a pretty silly thing to say... a guys stay on this forum does not indicate his knowledge or render his right to speak his mind.... the few posts ive seen of this guy seem to be very just and constructive. so really.. if hes spamming or not, it dosnt really matter cos hes putting some very good points across for people to talk about.... if its all about custom stauts i think aspergian will be very disappointed cos you have to be on the boards for 6 monthys before you get that regardles of your post count.. but A] i dont think hes after that as it means jack anyways.. and B] as long as he keeps giving a reason to discuss stuff on any given topic, the hes as welcome as a 3some :) |
