oh i remember that... he was trying to set up the microphone before he talked to everybody at arc. i can forgive him for that little mishap because everything else about the night was just right |

I love how ferry is setting himself apart from the rest. His new style is awesome. He still drops the sick uplifting sounds but now mixing in alot of electro/trance tracks. His set @ Space during wmc was on the best performances i seen while i was down there and prob one of the best sets ive seen him spin ever. |

I don't want to sound like a retard... and I can pretty much guess a bunch of you are going to jump on that comment now that i've said it...
But i simply don't get all the hype with the PVD whores!! I mean i have a bunch of tracks I love by many of the top DJ's and I personally think at the club.. i still have a better night going to something not so hyped up about but with great music! I mean don't get me wrong I like PVD, but i rather listen to a set of his at a house party than deal with the sardine case club when he spins! And there are plenty of D's out there that I just have a better night at because I'm with a bunch of friends and the DJ is spinning great music and people are simply pressed up against the DJ BOOTH ooo-ing and Ahhhing!
This also isn't to say that if I had to chance to see PVD without the massive crowd confining me that I wouldn't do it.. I would have a blast!! |

Yeah for real......
Tiesto was more packed than PVD. Prob due to the fact that all the n00bs came out so see the "number 1 DJ":stongue: At one point it was unbearable when i was looking for Pyro which didnt happen. But half way threw his set...i found my home up front where there was space to dance (a little) |

hahahahaha this is hilarious. and so true... i agree that tiesto is a funny looking bastard. and his sense of fashion just draws more attention to it all! i think if we took a vote from the girls pvd would win for looks, but why the hell does that have anything to do with it? |

whats even funnier is this page polls what people think of pvd.... and once again it has become what people think of pvd compared to tiesto. wtf??? people just dont get the idea...despite all the PR efforts on the part of both tiesto and pvd, they still think its a in war between the two. ridiculous!!!!
these guys are apples and oranges. they are both djs who produce and play mainly trance and differentiate themselves with their sounds and bass lines, whichever way your tastes lean, thats the one ure going to prefer.in the end, not many people out there give a damn about a dj's technical skills, hence the rise of producer fame turning into dj fame....happens all the time. those that really do give a crap about it end up in other areas like progressive and techno. |

by the way, this poll stinks. :D
i am a big pvd fan and like him a lot more than any trance dj.
however, i am not in love with him...the next option is somewhat true, as i do like other trance djs a lot... just not nearly as much as i like pvd. :conf: |

wow what a point less thread. Opinions verses opinions. Someone did bring up a good point, technical skill doesn't really matter that much, I think we all can agree that pvd is a much better technical dj than tiesto, by leaps and bounds....but hey tiesto sold out first, plays cheesier tunes, hence people like him more. PVd is getting the hint and selling out, it's just a shame the whole world comes out for pvd so there leaves no room for me to dance.
PVD was a lot better a few years ago, infact so was tiesto, in fact so was every dj!!!!
Danny Howells is overated, and yes he was a lot better too!!!!!! |
