when i listen to older sets i dont really hear much of a difference from todays sets. People definately over hype older stuff to being so great. I think its just someone said the sets from "yesterday" were soo much better then today, and every one seemed to follow, because its a cool thing to do.

Hope that wasn't directed at me Lee...My best moments of pvd were not recorded as most of his sets were not recorded!!! Don't rub your ignorance in our faces. It's a shame you're younger and weren't there for the better days. People don't say he was better to be "cool" he just simply was. he cared more he tried harder he played longer sets, he used to ROCK IT!!! Back in the day he'd never stop at 6 am in new york. But hey i"m glad that you like him so much and are having so much fun at his shows. That's what they're there for.

and how many of you have actually carried a record bag?? they're heavy as if i had someone to carry mine I would!

I think we all can agree that pvd is a much better technical dj than tiesto, by leaps and bounds....

if by technical you mean vagina that uses final scratch, then yeah.
sandstorm03
na it wasnt to you, it was 4 every 1. I just dont feel that tiesto and others were technically better back then in like 99/00. I feel that there were many sets from last year that i liked, over their 2000 sets. I just think that people have to move away from saying, "tiesto sucks now, but he was the best."

Technical I mean dj skills. MIXING, track selection making people dance.... Tiesto just plays a bunch of big tunes. Most overated dj, I've seen him up really bad (mixing 2 of his own tracks mind you) and I've only seen him 3 times, PVD 18 times, never heard him up badly, noticably.

PVD rocks the music a lot better than any trance dj when he wants to works it, brings more nrg, most other dj's especially tiesto are flat as . If anyone here disagrees with me well then i need to sit down with you and explain to you what mixing is....vagina??

the 11th kicked some major ass!
:D

paul doesn't carry record boxes anymore...he uses final scratch now. and when he used to spin vinyl, he carried his own. i saw him carry them in to roxy april 18, 2003 and he accidently hit greg in the knee with them at aria april 17, 2003.

get over this kids. who cares what djs people like? isn't it all about the music? a good track is a good track, no matter what genre it is...
