I'll let you in on a little wisdom i've learned over the ages...
The words you see in forums and in chat rooms on this thing you call the "internet" are generally not created by robots or artificial intelligence programs. Their created by real, living and breathing people.
Many of us have come to that realization, and the extention of which is, that they are as much potential sources for relationships as someone you meet in a bar, or through a friend. The internet is a great resource for meeting people, if you YOU choose to ignore it that's your choice, but don't fault others for having the insight to mine this valuable vein of potential human interaction.
Yes i'm 30, and here's a secret about people who are 30. They still want to be in relationships like everyone else. There isn't some strange metamophasis that occurs when you turn 30 that makes you swear off meeting anyone.
So here I find myself reading these forums, and I notice a girl with who looks great in her avatar, and I notice from her varied posts throughout the different forums that she's obviously quite intelligent... so I offer up this thread right here as my way of saying I think she's cool. To think that there is a crime in that, that I should feel ashamed for or feel otherwise negatively for doing so only makes a comment about you. I on the other hand am quite comfortable in my actions. |

| Subey: most guys who are serious PM the girl directly and don't air their intentions in public unless it's a joke. If it's not, I feel sorry for you. I'd take the fact that she hasn't replied as a not so subtle hint how she feels about you, but what the heck send the letter anyways. :haha: |

No skin off my nose. I could have simply sent her a pm.. no biggie but that's the route 99% of the guys on the planet would take.
Instead I started this thread and provided some entertainment for her and everyone else reading, a bonus for everyone involved in the newsgroups.
My crime, I made an inovative and honest attempt at approaching the best looking chick on the boards, no shame in that, so she didn't reciprocate its all good if you've had 100% success in approaching women out of the blue then more power to you. For the rest of us mere mortals we accept the victories and the failures because both make our time on this great ball a little more interesting |
