Ya i am moving back to england in the upcoming year and was wondering where you would recommend with respect to job markets and clubbing. I spent a year in leeds last year i had a amazing time. But i was also a student so i think it would be a bit differnt as a graduate.

anyways just your thoughts

right now my list is
1) London: i wont have much money and its super exepensive to live there so... i am apprehensive

2) Manchester: good night out from what i heard and they got good grief

3) Leeds: well i lived there before and i had alot of fun and it was cheap and there was more pubs per square KM then anything i had seen in canada. That and sundisstential was fun

4) Brighton: i heard this place is nice and its close to london

I have a pretty good degree in geomatics from a well recognized university so i am not worried about jobs just wondering what you guys thought.

one my critsism about leeds was that it slowed down alot in the summer. Kinda depressing

This tends to be the case with most cities whose social scenes are centred around universities e.g Leeds, Sheffield, Nottingham, Bristol & to a certain extent Manchester etc etc as the students go home during the summer.

Birmingham, midlands has everything similar to london to offer at 2 thirds of the price :p

I'd agree. Birmingham or Manchester would be the two best choices.

by canadian standards it is close. You have to remember that the distance from toronto to vancover is the same as that of london to Kiev or moscow.

funny that is what some of the english exchange students at my university are saying as well. I like canada but... to many redknecks and the clubbing is not so good and it is expensive. It is cheap to visit but if you live here it is not so cheap
