Or when he started playing Gatex in 2002, or all of the Max Walder/Frank Biazzi, even Plastikman techno. Hells, he has even played acid like when he started with Hardfloor in Amnesia last summer. Breaks, prog, techno, you mention it. Tiesto is one of the most inconsistent djs ever, to say that he always plays the same style is a hugely ignorant overstatement, and just proves that you don't have a clue.

And people have a right to criticize his current stuff or after 2002 when his mixing started slacking off. But to say that he has sucked from the beginning? WTF. Have you heard Innercity 1999, Energy 2000, ISOS 2, Magik 1-6?

HELL ING YES!!!!!!!!

Tiesto has sucked from the beginning. The only good song he ever put of is Traffic and even now that's old. He hasn't dipped into any other genres, he's way to expensive to sign for any good events and just plays his own now.

Don't get me wrong I love trance. But for me the best DJ in the world skillwise is Mauro Picotto. He can remix anything, and he can mix everything.

You looks like your avatar

First of all, over the past four years I've seen Tiesto live over 20 times and Picotto live over 6. I've heard more trainwrecks from Mauro, no doubt about it. There are many techno djs more technically talented than Picotto (Varela, Beyer, Clarke, Liebing, Rush, Mills etc.).

Secondly, TRAFFIC his only good track??? :haha:

I have Trance Energy, Sensation, and dance valley DVDs, tons of mp3s to run my Final Scratch and livesets that would fill up your harddrive. don't tell me what i have and haven't seen. Yes it's a totally different experience live but from what i have from Tiesto he sucks, AvB and PvD are much better in their selection of music and quality of mixing. and I don't give a f*ck about the history of him, I'm just saying from what's going on. His sucks too, it's really all the same and the only track that I've truly enjoyed is Traffic, judge my "trance taste" wrong but here's my current top 5 tracks:
1. Jens - Loops & Things
2. Planet Kaos - Sunburn
3. Dallas Superstars - Helium
4. Oceanlab - Satellite
5. Radiotrance - Palevo
ohh and can't forget #6. DJ Sammy - Boys of Summer!!! it r0x0rs!!!

Do you hide in his bathroom and find out?? Perhaps you routed the sewer line to your secret holding tank where you store all of Tiesto's and then analyze it exhaustively to see how much it sucks?? I'm sorry, I couldn't resist. :D

If you compare that T.E. 2000 set (what is imo still one of the best sets ever)which you claim to have heard, with the type of music Armin spins nowadays, it is hardly believable that you've listened to these sets

There you go, thanks for proving my point. You're a lame 1337 mp3 kiddie. Wow, he has ty ID$T DVDs too and now he's an expert on Dutch trance.

Again, this guy says Traffic is Tiesto's only good track. :stongue: When did you start listening to trance, last month?

Oh, and he likes McProg too!!! ;)

Trust me kid, learn your history. Check out Energy 2000 (not the lame Trance Energy) and Innercity 1999.

Armin wishes he could mix up a masterpiece like that. But what you say is true, the type of music Armin spins is mostly regressive and stuck in the old stale formula of 99.

i dont think it is posible for armin to keep your attention for more then 2 hours, because he just plays the same ty asot tracks over and over and over again.

since i'm not allowed to keep my opinions anymore i'll shut up

However I will still claim that Tiesto is no longer #1 in the world and there are better DJs and producers out there, maybe to some he has lost his edge, maybe to some he still retains it, but he never had an edge over me.

You can keep you opinions, just don't post them here and expect rainbows and lollipops for answers.

Tiesto is the , omfg i would die to see him live. holy look at these tracks and tell me he isn't the crowned king of trance:
Flight 643, In My Memory, Lethal Industry, Magik Journey, Nyana, Sparkles, Subspace Interference, Suburban Train, Traffic...OMG all these tracks are so bomb
How can you ever say he has lost his edge, he's the .

can i get my f*cking lolliepops now?
NuDarkBeat
i say Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, or Ferry Corsten.
And lets not pull another Paul Oakenfold with Tiesto. Give the man his respect whether hes as good this year he was the past two years or not. Hes still the same person with the same vision. He THE MAN
