now I may sound super ignorant saying this, but is there really any wildlife in TO??
I mean, seagulls and pigeons dont count..some of the squirells in Queens park are bigger than a cat, so I guess they must count.

but anything bigger?
Im actually serious, I dont know much about the 'burbs, but there is next to nothing downtown (I think)

maybe something around the DVP?

There is actually a lot of wildlife in the Toronto area, thanks to a by-law that prevents development in Toronto area ravines. There have been deer and coyote sightings north of Millwood and I've seen beaver, muskrat, skunks, raccoons and a ton of different bird species in and along the Don Valley River/DVP. And migratory birds use the ravines as flyways to travel through the city on their way north or south from the city.

thanks erika
see I live on a provincial park, we get rabbits, deer, coyotes, skunks, porcupines and the like around here all the time(pretty much everytime im out 4-6 am)
and then theres the Rockies next door with its Griz, black bears, moose, elk etc
Im used to wildlife being more of a traffic hazard than other drivers, something you dont get in TO(you get pedestrians instead)

The hunter uses what's called a hakapick to club the young seal in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence.

Up at bayview and highway 7, when they rebuilt the whole intersection, a deer was trapped in the square where the o fframp from highway 7 meets with bayview...it wraps around. A deer lived there for 2 years before it got taken away. My parents have pics of the little thing. it was so cute.

On a more relative note, i bought some new shoes today. Apparently theyre the hottest thing right now. Im tryin to get Beh to get a matching pair.

OH MY GOD! you guys are so wired and serious, relax , its just a misunderstanding, no need to get your panties tied.

Anyone can make a mistake.

Julia, you are forgiven;):D

I think the real confusion stems from that fact that there are Seagulls in Toronto. Now, if you have sea gulls, you have a sea, and if you have a sea, you could have sea lions & seals. :D

On a side note, I saw a live skunk for the first time tonight, on my way home from school.
