they dont actually skin them alive.
there was a report done recently by the govt that showed that while the practises appear barbaric (clubbing them with an pick axe like object), that it is actually more effective than a rifle. Also 95% of the seals are killed in more humane ways that cattle in Alberta (not so nice for me being an Albertan)
a white seal like that would be illegal to kill...its not old enough. They need to wait another 3 weeks until it turns grey-ish.
They arent skinned alive. Not at all. They axe them because bullets cost money, and clubbing them doesnt. All done quite nicely. |

Even Argentines knew better than this when I lived down there. Theyd ask me about the "underground mall" in Toronto. I bet most people who live in Toronto don't even know we have one.
