i like beethoven as an anwser...not one of my favs, but i do like him over Mozart

As for Elvis.... he wasn't a genius, just a good performer & Musician

I was waiting for someone to say Richard D James... didn't think it would take long.
He's my #1.. or #2 not sure yet.

Beethoven - try composing music when you're deaf. Mozart second.

Mozart = child Prodigy

Beethoven = genius (though he is not my favorite composer, YaleTrance made a good point about how revolutionary he was)

Maybe Jean Michel Jarre for those with more electronic leanings, not sure if he is really "genius.
Matt Jay
I think we all know the answer to that :rolleyes:

Noctone
As people have already beaten me to saying, Richard D. James is quite brilliant. A lot of his stuff just blows my mind.

Ok Beethoven was totally mindblowing as well, but I just picked Mozart. Richard D James is also totally whacked out to the point of near genius...
Gogmagog
I'm feeling Beethoven and Richard D. James both in my top 10....
how about Brian Eno or Frank Zappa?

He's been doing music for over 20 years!
I once heard him say he hates most electronic equip. (808, 303 etc.)
because they don't make the noises that he wants to hear
