it WAS bumblebee
he appears in the first scene of the original transformers movie too (but not as a beetle of course..but as some cybertron car) |

After-school cartoons were the BEST when I was a kid. LOVED IT!
They tried to re-hash Transformers (The old episodes) but they put in a modern-day-CG-stupid-ass-weird-transforming animation in it that they would play on EVERY scene change and it got SOOOO Annoying (it was annoying after the 1st scene change, actually)
Did anyone else ever see this? Honestly, leave the cartoon ALONE (if it ain't broke, don't fix it) |

The yellow beetle on the cartoon was Bumblebee -- but wasn't the TOY actually Gold? (or was the Gold bumblebee a special editon version?) |

optimus priime as a in fire engine ewwwwwww
theres yet a newer version whihc is equally stupid on cartoon network ewwww |

they're juss runnin outta ideas and trying hard to recycle old ones .. what they dun realize is that cartoons will never be as good as they were during the 80's golden age

^^^ exactly...for some reason, cartoons are so immature right now and just so...boring. Not that I watch them, but what I have seen on Saturday mornings, to be honest, would not have interested me as a kid. The new computer animation is just annoying...nothing beats 2D.
I think the last great cartoon was Gargoyles...now that was some serious stuff and the last show I ever watched faithfully, although I had to be quiet about it because I was in grade 8 and 9 at the time.:p |

I think it was called Armada. This is actually popular in Japan but of course America screws up the dubbing.
I just saw that new version yesterday. I think it was the continuation of Armada. Cool animation like Zoids but the storyline and dialogue are still horrible. Wouldn't watch it again. |

nothing shameful about watching cartoons. I prefer them over reality shows or those dumb teenage shows that are descended from Saved By the Bell. But yeah, the quality in the 90s really declined probably due to all the protests that action packed cartoons are too violent and that it influences the kids to behave in an agressive manner. It's a shame really.
There's a few good ones out right now though. New versions of Justice League and He-Man. |
