[Review] PvD at Vision (pg. 3)

Well for my 2nd trip to chicago, I must say this last trip KILLED the first one. And can I say that Vision is a MUCH BETTER venue than that hot a$$ riviera theatre.

First and foremost, I wanted to thank Trancer-adu for coming and introducing himself. I'm extremely glad we got to hangout and meet. It was nice to have a fellow TA to hangout and talk with!!! anytime your in philly or nyc, let me know please, i'd love to meet up!

Second, Paul KILLED it. Tracklist was nice and hard, with some letups in there, but not many. We all got treated to an extra hour of him, and unfortunately, i left like 20 mins early, so I didn't hear Mindcircus or Love stimulator! (r we sure he played second sun- love stimulator ? Was it in the last 20 mins of the show?)

Most importnatly, Paul played my request!!! I held up a piece of paper with Tillman- On the Run on it, and 20 mins later he dropped it, and looked at me, and gave me the thumbs up sign!! THAT TOTALLY MADE ME WHOLE TRIP FROM PHILADELPHIA WORTH IT. He's the $hit ... Period point blank. He might not interact w/ the crowd much, but his music and energy behind is set, speaks for itself.

Anyhows, chicago trip was def. successful, and DAMN!! it was a blast... Trancer-adu, if u get a chance, email me or pm me or somethign k?

Take care all!

That's because I can ID like 3 tracks he played in the first 1 1/2 hours, most of that was in the final 2.

ninja_k
well they started at Amnesia in ibiza IIRC...
Very nice memories of that place.

hopefully the guns won't be overused so as to make them not so cool...

CT - did you all have fun playing with the CO2 gun during the sound check  ?

Glad you guys had a good time.
Had i envisioned PVD playing for 3 hours..i'd have definitely gone :whip: :sadgreen:
Looks like a nice track list too.
Guess i'll have to wait for Armin to play his 6/8 hr extended set :D :haha:

unfortunatley, i was not at the sound check - one of the promoters told me that pvd asked to spin longer after the sound check.

so - i haven't seen or experienced the co2 guns at vision yet

hmmm...was looking for venues in the area that have/had them. and yes, i agree they shouldn't use them often. more dosen't always mean better. pretty soon people might start labeling it as cheese :haha:

What a party!?!? Where to begin?...Jerry was great as an opener, he really set it up for PVD. We were lucky to find a place on the second floor balcony, our little "home". Damn, did that place get packed! I knew that their taped up stair cases wouldn't last for long. Our little "home" turned into a jungle gym when people decided they didn't care about the tape anymore! Going to the bathroom turned out to be quite an adventure because when we were done they were only letting one in for every one out. Somewhere in the middle of PVD's set we decided to go down to the lair to chill...literally COOL OFF for a while. It was nice and relaxing but I wanted to get back for the end of the set...which ended up being like an hour and a half later due to his extended set. YEAH!:D Upon returning to our "home" we ran into a freind who asked if we wanted to go dance. I was like HELL YEAH! Little did I know she was going to be leading us right through the middle of the "sardine can" dance floor. My apologies to all the people we squeezed through because I know how much I hate it when people try to squeeze by me!:clown: We eventually made it to right under the DJ booth, and boy was everyone having the time of their lives. By the end of it, we were all pooped, done, sweaty, thirsty, WASTED! It was a night to remember.

Oh, I LOVED the CO2 blasts! SSSOOOOOO refreshing on that hot ass dance floor!:tongue2
