Most importnatly, Paul played my request!!! I held up a piece of paper with Tillman- On the Run on it, and 20 mins later he dropped it, and looked at me, and gave me the thumbs up sign!! THAT TOTALLY MADE ME WHOLE TRIP FROM PHILADELPHIA WORTH IT. He's the $hit ... Period point blank. He might not interact w/ the crowd much, but his music and energy behind is set, speaks for itself.

Take care all!

That is very  For a DJ who doesn't tend to show a lot of emotion that was very classy I'd say. Glad it was worth the trip.

On techno / tech-house / acid-house I am the uber-n00b :p

It seemed about as crowded as Tiesto, maybe a little bit more. I was only down on the main floor for about 5-10 minutes so I didn't really get a feel for the crowd at peak time. Where I was it was not too crowded at all with a perfect perspective of the whole club.

Edit - It had to have been more crowded, though, since I've never seen them have a 1 in 1 out policy at the stairs.

PVD was an amazing time on Saturday -- maybe the best club night I've had in Chicago. His set was great as others have said - he really beat it down. Lots of cool ass hard / techy / darker trance (which was how his WMC Space set was).

The best part was probably the crowd. I have almost never seen a crowd that into it, unbelievable energy from start to finish. It was just a very, very fun show overall. A couple other tracks I heard were Jaron Inc - Overflow and St. John vs. Locust - Mindcircles. I don't think I heard Second Sun - Love Stimulator and I was listening for it the whole time.

Jerry Bonham's set would have been a great night even by itself - lots of high energy prog. Did anyone recognize any of the last 5 tracks...sick, especially his last one.

I took out Love Stimulator from the tracklist - I thought I heard it but in my state .. :p

Some of the last few tracks Jerry Bonham played included Matthew Dekay Band - Higher Thoughts and Fingerfest Inc. - Chemical Whore (which was a destroyer!)

I thought I heard Chemical Whore but it was before I was on the dancefloor area. Bonham's last track has a melody that was almost a proggy guitarish version of Love Stimulator.

i just remembered one other one PVD played that was awesome - it has a female vocal saying something like "and you wanna scream and shout...and the record stops..." - anyone know what this is?

that's crazy how it looks like the CDDJ is floating. :wtf:

LN2 fog is your friend

They have been doing the one up one down policy at the more crowded events lately. I know I tried to get back upstairs at Sasha and they would not let me, so I went to the bathroom and went down from there :D

I think it is because the club got shut down one friday night for overcapacity by the CPD so they are being super careful.

I remember this track - Mazi played the same one and I emailed him about some of the records he played. He emailed me back a list and I'm checking through them to see if I can find it - I'm desperate for it, that record was my favorite of the night.
