You did OK. I got a 3.2 Intel with bells, whistles, fastest video card on planet, etc. because I can afford it. You were smart to get the high ram and a decent video card for gaming. Half Life series of online gaming is place where my three teenage sons rule and seems the place to start. If you don't have broadband though, invest in adventure gaming because the other gamers will normally kick out anyone without broadband when they play for real. Chip speeds and advancements will stall this year until Microsoft can get its act together and produce the new Windows 04 (maybe 05 now?) with 64 bit file system that will truly be the next major advancement.

Jay, why not pick something like this up?: PSU
Spend a few more quid (around 70 or so I'm guessing for that PSU), but know for sure that you're not feeding all your parts with bad voltage.
Also, for future upgrades, get a higher wattage version (~400W would be great). Though I dunno if it fits your budget. |

Great, you got broadband so you're good to hook. Smart move on the Athlon 64 - it doesn't support sh*t right now, since it was designed for a 64 bit file system. Wait until Microsoft launches it and Intel will brutally crush Athlon with chips they have sitting on the shelf that they're tweaking. Hope to see 4+ gig speed at least.
