| Well, when I went to the Ultra fest, I said it before, I saw loooooooooots more guys then girls , that kinda sucked, but maybe cause guys are more agressive and exposed to more extreme dancing ? like jumping energy wise ? |

I mean you do see a lot of raver chiks and stuff but some of the don't even knwo anything about that kinda music they are there just to show off,
My ex girlfriend hated trance, i couldt stand talking to her about music, we would always end up in an argument., bro i couldnt stand her music either, she used to listen to taht slow on the radio like mariah carey, celine dion, what the hell is up with that??
so dude if you r in love with a girl, whos beautiful, and likes trance, DAWM don't ing let her go...'cause you are in heaven.

| Hmm, I didn't bother to look at when this message was posted so I'll just reply anyway... In my experience (which can't be globally applied, because I come from NH USA which is essentially nowhere and non raving) I found that a lot of my computer nerd friends liked trance music, and my second boyfriend's brother was very into it in all respects, so that was where I first heard it. Then I started learning about it much more on my own and here I am, I can't live without it. Unfortunately, there's never been a big trance scene at either of my 2 most recent schools at least not when I was/am there (highschool and college)...so I feel so deprived! Luckily, though I feel antisocial when I do it, I periodically run off to my computer to talk on tranceaddict and download things. In short, trance is one of the biggest parts of my life. I want to produce my own songs once I finish my required classes... can't say much about whether the music is for boys or girls more, but that in my experience it's been most popular among computer science oriented boys. ??? |

Yeah trance attracts both sexes, Its not like D & B raves where the majority of people are blokes, when I go out to clubs theres usually a good ratio of girls to men, like around 1.5 girls to each man. |
i disagree with you about D&B and it attracts blokes in the US well california sometimes you find the must amazing girls in the D&B scene with style and knows how to groove!
i've never dated a girl that was insane about trance music or just electronic music period. i've met girls who were into it because i guess they were into it cause of the trend that was spreading but, never had the love for it that i do. HELL there are only 2 people in my group who loves electronic music so much that it revolves around both of us. :D |

| Well, I think in general trance is for everyone. But in my experience, the fan base is mostly guys. But then, that's only what I know. I've been to clubs and there are actually more girls than guys but the guys are the ones that seem to get into the music and buy the cds and such. Most girls just like to dance. But once again, this is only from what I know and god knows I could be wrong. |

in my experience girls aren't so passionate about music than boys!
my girlfriend for example, she just listens to what's on the radio, doesn't matter to her that much!
she doesn't really love any songs, but i do and she doesn't really hate any songs, but i do. it's all just music to her!
there are excepions to this girl/boy music matter ofcourse like any other matter.
so imo girls don't really love any type of music usually!

| I wish more women went to the clubs :( but yea, I'm not saying that women don't like it, just that I see more men than women at the clubs...and they always have a boyfriend. |

I am a prog. head and I listen to prog. most of the time.
My girlfriend can't stand Prog. House. She likes melodic trance like Rank 1, Dutchforce, and of course, the cheesy euro dance stuff. |

Nice topic there,
I have a question to all the girl trance fans here which is related to this topic but isn't exactly the same,
U see I have this girlfriend who is into hip-hop and rock and I want to give her the chance to experience trance so I'm going to give her a CD... but I don't know what cd is best to get her into it. Magik6 worked for me and since I heard it I've been into the scene with sooo much love for the music...
So what CD, mix compilation should I give her? What works for girls? What got you into it? hehehe I really want this to work ;)
Cheers, |
