anyone drink much wine?
well, i dont usually, but last weekend i took a bottle along with my usualy carryout and i got completly wasted.
i dunno. it seems to sneak up on ya. dont really realise it sneakin up on ya, but damn it hits you hard!
pretty strong i guess. 11-13% usually. |

Usually I drink beer, but yesterday evening I had to drink wine, cause there was no beer left.
It was a whitewine with 12,5%. So after 8 glasses I was 100% drunk.

I didn't know there was such a thing as 'good' hangover? :conf: :p
Can't go wrong with either a good Chardonnay or Merlot. :) |

im an earthy cab-sauv lover. chile, aussie, south africa.
the hangovers suck because it sours and your body stops digesting it. Plus it stains everything you hurl on. The sugary is the worst though. Try getting blasted off of pure irish cream or something...ugh.
I hate white wines. Ive had a 300 dollar bottle of white and it was still . Im a fan of stuff that lets you know youre drinking. Belgian Ales, barley wines, and dark heavy reds. I want it to stick to the back of my throat. You also dont have to waste 20 seconds or so trying to figure out if its complex or just tasteless. Reds tend to have much more dominant characteristics, and you can narrow down what you like more quickly.
I dont get drunk off it any more though. I get about 50% off each case of wine I get from the wine guy at my local place, so for a while..
now its pure enjoyment. I love getting some spicy barley chicken soup, some french bread dipped in olive oil, and cheese and crackers and sitting down with a nice bottle. Its made for warm summer nights. mmm mmm mm..cant wait for tonight. |

Oh, I love this thread. I LOVE wine. (well, I love beer and vodka too, but) WINE is lovely.
Lately, I've been drinking Yellow Tail cab sauv. It's a very inexpensive Australian wine. Open a bottle up, let it breathe for at least 20 minutes, and you are good to go.
Great, now I'm going to have to go buy a bottle on the way home. |

| i usually prefer red wines...but i love this one dessert wine that is SOOOOO good. its like drinking fruit punch hehehe...so easy to get drunk off hehehe... |
