Started playing round with virtual turntables in late 2002 and got 2cdj100s and a djm300 in december 2002. Was so frustrated and pissed off after about two weeks of trying I didn't touch them again til march. Been going solidly since and had my first gig in august 2003. Been getting gigs consistently since and have had some pretty big ones. Sold a cdj late last year and now my setup is djm 300, one 1200mk2, one 1210mk3 and a cdj100.

hmmm me thinks i've taken a big step towards taking this dj caper seriously... i got a record bag for my birthday AND i sent out some demo's. oooh almost a year to the day i first started... anyone else have a more rapid rise (not saying im gifted or anything), like i know "readiness" cant be measured by days or years but curious to see how quickly certain people feel comfortable in getting up there to perform. i know i only have and i still shake and pee my pants when i play in front of people... even if its just to another person in my room.

only little dribbling pee, minimum flowage.
Vigilante
I have been reading up a lot on DJing and mixing, and i have decided, just this very moment, that i am now going to save up and purchase my very own decks for the first time.

You guys have inspired me :D :D :D (well, not really, the music has really)

I am so excited now!!!

I'm gonna start a new job in the coming uni holidays, and next semester i am going to be doing part time uni, and working, so hopefully it won't take me too long to save up.
