Prodigy are one of the big "mainstream" electronica artists of today.
Their one of the only artists to have made it to TRL in america.(MTV)
Prodigy is one of the first electronica groups that got me into the whole genre of music.
Their stuff is old school. I remember listening to that stuff in like 6th grade. |

I have all but one single from Prodigy, all 3 albums, dirtchamber sessions, and a few bootleg and live cds...even own what evil lurks vinyl!:) All in all, there is not one single prodigy track that I don't like. I especially like the video Electronic Punks!

Prodigy is awesome.
I was brought up on Experience. Bought Jilted when Voodoo People was released and have loved them ever since.
I have to slightly agree. I listened to Fat of the Land for the first time and thought - what is this, it's nothing like Jilted. The more I listened to it, the more fantastic it became.

The Prodigy in my opinion are the best electronic act to the present day. I mean, all 3 albums were different, which showed creativity. I mean go from out of space to their law, 3 kilos,poison and climbatize. If you ever saw them live, you would know how ing good they are!!! Notice i use present tense, well thats because they have a new album coming out this year :). www.nekosite.co.uk to read an interview from the genius Liam howlett. I like the way their music is raw and unpolished, and the way they never step two feet into music business. As in, release an album, then come back when they are ready, not when their record company says their ready. They can bring tunes out into the chart that makes people go wtf is that, and still keep it real. So basically to say they are , well, just shows how much you know.

look at the date that album was released. then take samples from other artists at that time and compare. prodigy smoked a lot of them. also take into consideration what type of music you are listening to when you listen to fat of the land. it's not trace. it's not techno. it's not industrial. maybe a mixture of all? who knows and that's the point. it was something new at the time. i hear old paul oakenfold stuff and initially think it's crap. then i look at the release date and try to picture myself in a club at that time and wonder if i enjoy it.
but then again, maybe you just don't like their style. it's not like you have to. lol. |

fat of the land was ok, but music for the jilted generation was amazing. especially break and enter.
you have to rememebr their music is very old and, even tho it got int othe charts, an underground style of dance from the time. |

with regards to the topic... im not gonna bother arguing.. the profigy themselves are doing all the arguing themselves, as none of theyre stuff is no matter if you like it or not.. theyve produced very very nice tracks on al albums, a variety of different styles.. all/most of which liam perfected... wether it be experience album ie old skool rave/breakbeat hardcore, jilted ie energetic techno [early form of] and chillout [narcotic suite] or fat of the land ie .. dirty breakbeat, punk and melodic breakbeat trance.

Dj cinos couldnt have atleast listened to 1 of prodigy's songs before buying the whole album?? so maybe you can get a taste of their music. Oh and why are you saying that people on here say that they like prodigy when they actually think its horrible? ...oh please give me a break , why would they be saying that if they dont like it , what so that they dont get flamed like you are right because you got no taste for music what so ever.
