Minimalist Trance

| Good evening everyone. I was just curious as to how you peeps feel towards minimalist trance, personally it doesn't do too much for me as most of the fat cutting seems to be in terms of melodic content. But I have a friend in Sweden and when they do one of their bumps/roll calls out in the woods that is all they listen to. I've been told that if I even TRIED playing any of the more melodic stuff I'm into these days that they would tie me to a tree and set me on fire(really!). So I was just wondering how the rest of you have to say about minimilist trance? |

| IMHO there isn't enough minimalist trance left to listen to. Taking out the melody leaves behind something very nice, its like the trancey part in its purest form, like the really old things. |

| Sorry guys, I will ask my friend to provide me with some names, maybe you can have a look there. Anytime I'm on msn with him he's either flipping me mp3 files or providing me with a link where I can listen to it live on radio. I duno, I don't mind it when I'm drinking Black bull beer(a true Canadian heavyweight at 10%) but then I wake up the next day and listen to the files he sent and I am sorta like WTF? I'm not saying it's crap, just not my preference.... |

In Sweeden? In the woods? I'm pretty sure he's either talking about psytekk or non-melodic psy-trance: this is what would make more sense. |
