19:10 this evening - $0.719 / L

21:10 this evening - $0.895 / L

(McCowan & Steeles)

-----

Great - now I have to pay $0.995 / L for 91+ octane for my car... :(

And get this - there were line-ups out on to the street at $0.895 -- are people nuts or is there some shortage that I'm not aware of?

The current price of crude is $36.64 US / BBL, and has gone up about 10% since February 1 2004.

I'm calling my MP tomorrow. I'm all for capitalism but the price jumping 27% in 2 hours makes no sense to me. This is not acceptable. :whip:

they should just ban gasoline and get it over it...theyve done stupider things

Im willing to bet large that once the federal gov't sells of the rest of their 20% of petrocan, we are going to see some gov't intervention.

Seriously though, for a commuter, this is getting ridiculous.

Oh, fun. Out of all the Golden Horseshoe, Halton (where I live) has the highest of the Lowest Reported Gas Prices. :tongue3

so dad and i were driving along going home today and he looked over at the gas station and low and behold: 84.5... cheapest place we saw and it was an Esso station by lawrance and leslie.

ghettoness...i mean i just looked over to dad and i said "haha ur not going anywhere tomorrow"

times like these were i think taking public transit is the best idea in this day and age.

saw a program on tv that said the prices were purposely
high presently so that they can be significantly
slashed just in time for the US elections.

yet another slick move by the babbling idiot
we know as Bush
