i believe he said underground.. and also kayne west is wack. his flow is so weak compared to other artists. he may make some decent beats... but he should just stay a producer.
if you want a true crazy producer... check out... M F DOOM..... he is so friggin amazing... it'll blow ur mind. most of his beats are made from actual instruments he plays.... which not many people do. also check out People Under the Stairs and the Roots, both of which are amazing groups. |

Atmosphere
Aesop Rock
Bus Driver
those are the three best MCs in the world hands down, Aesops older stuff with blockhead producing the beats was way better than his new stuff, but his new stuff works too
Check out blockhead's album music by cavelight, great beats
Dose one is unique and not bad at times, however the problem with some of these acts is they are underground hip hop hence not to often are they made for dancing,
Atmosphere has the most danceable beats of the three, but all of those three are the pinacle of hip hop, Atmosphere also goes by the name of slug, and he is part of the living legends crew whom you should also get familiarized with,
i also second the doctor octagon,
Jedi Mind trick is a somewhat popular group as well,
J5 for sure,
Check out Def Jux records as well, good on there. |

atmosphere is slug, spawn and ant. slug and spawn doing the lyrics, with ant doing the beats
on another note, two more GREAT underground groups are unknown prophets and cunninlynguists.
if you go here you can actually download two of the best unknown prophets tracks. one actually features Slug. get never and wrong route. Unknown Prophets audio
cunninlynguists are relativelty known, and its well deserved. great, great, great stuff from them. they arent caught up in the 'i'm so hard because i rap' mentality. one of their songs is called 'thugged out since cub scouts.' funny. but they also make dope hip hop. will rap for food is a great album with great beats and great lyrics. |

If you want to get acquainted with good hip-hop, get a feel for really really good hip-hop.
Listen to anything produced by Dr. Dre.
Start with The Chronic then proceed to The Chronic 2001 (the best produced album I can recall).
Then you will understand why Eminem and 50 Cent are hits today... Dre's talent at production. |

lol.... ok. first of alll we're talking underground. secondly, 90% of the people listed previously have so much more lyrical, intellectual, and musical content than dre, eminem, & 50 cent could ever possibly have. only eminem can compete as a lyricist becuz i have to admit, even tho he's mainstream, his wordplay is as amazing as biggie's. |

biggie is so overrated. and yes, eminem is one of the greatest of all time. despite most of the population not putting him up there due to his skin color. |
