same here! i take drugs for fun not for dance a music I don't like. Because I hear techno or trance all the time; in the car, at home... and then when I go clubbin I try to go in a club where I love the music.
But I take hard drugs sometimes. Normally I drink alcohol and I smoke weed and that's all, but sometimes I take E, coke or magiks for have more fun or if I'm tired. If I do it with responsability I think I won't have problems. |

| i can go to a trance club with or without drugs, and still have a wicked time. I don't take drugs because i have to to have a good time, i take them because i want to and because it enhances the experience IMO |

If you need narcotics to enjoy trance, then you should not listen to it AT ALL. In this case, go listen to whatever bull you were listening before you got into trance.

Too right... surely if you can't enjoy the music thinking straight then you shouldn't be listening to it?
However, as long as people don't spoil it for others then I personally don't have a problem with it. |

im well past the stage of music sounding awesome while on ecstasy, i only take it because it gets me in the mood to dance.. and quite often by the time my fav. dj comes on im tired as and totally not in the mood to dance. yes drinking does the same but i can barely remember anything the next day even after just a few drinks.
im sick and tired of people always saying 'err you cant enjoy the music without drugs'. what a load of bull. do you think i would be hear if i didnt?

yes, I agree. listening to trance sobered is just not as mind-blowing as on a psychoactive substance which amplify hearing and among other radical neural changes.
the sound is godsmacking amazing. completely localized inside the cranium vs at the speakers. the reverberation and amplication of tone and texture far surpasses what normal hearing can do.
my friend once told me while on weed he could hear a crystal clear 1-feet away conversation of two people over a 100 feet away.

Sober, we try to hear everything and end up hearing nothing. Drugs help us to stop trying so hard. It doesn't help us to hear it any better than when we were sober except that when we were sober we weren't really listening. Drugs are not necessary. The only reason people need drugs is because they're too hung up in the first place to really relax and enjoy the music. They just keep thinking "how can I make this better" when they should be thinking "how could this be any better."

| Not to pull internet rank or anything but have you noticed that its all the that say this, i think the only reason that some people get interested in the scene is becouse of the drugs. Its people like that that are ing up the image of electronic music and result in bs lik the RAVE act being put into place. So yea i Personaly blaim YOU!!!! |

Drugs and raves are like taking a and reading the newspaper.
Do I do drugs? Yes. Why do I do drugs? Because quite frankly its to put up with alot of the pretenious-hardcore non drug users who come to stare at their favorite DJ instead of dancing with the people around them, and having a good time. These are the same people who dont do drugs, and bore the outta you with their uneventful life, and whine when you smoke around them. Grow some in balls, and if your a girl, go suck some choda, theres nothing worse than meeting these people anywhere. Honestly, if you wanna listen to music, grab a CD player and get that set and listen to it whenever you want, if your at the club, enjoy the music, do some drugs and dance your brains out, and be fun with everyone...thats a party. *when I say drugs, I mean alcohol, weed, chemicals -legal and illegal, anything that gives you a better state of mind* |
