Well considering, the show
no.1 is not political
no.2 the demographics of the show are young kids.
It is the wrong time, and the wrong place. And i hope big bro doesnt give him the car, doesnt give him the phone. Lets see how much he cares about the refugees then. Paul hit the nail on the head when he called merls a phoney. |
Exactly the show isn't political and he made it political, no point making a political point on a political show, the impact wouldn't have been so big!
I really don't think he cares about the car etc, but I still think he should get it.
Anyway enough from me, don't get me started:haha: |

isnt part of the reason they have those kinda good prizes is because people have contractual agreements when signing up... e.g speaking to the show after eviction... if he forgoes fulfilling his end of the bargain, he also forgoes the luxuries of the show.. |

yep I guess so, but as I said I doubt he actually gives a about the prizes.
I'm sure he took all that into account before making his political stance. |

| I thought it was a great way to voice an opinion and it definitely took alot of guts to do what he did. Yeah the show might not be political, but who cares, its reality television and lets face reality that the torment these refugees are subjected to is just wrong and someone needs to voice their opinion against them. |

i think the interesting factor about all this, is the fact that they do know the consequences, and that doesnt seem to be much deterrance from stopping them escaping worse situations to come here |

Yes we do, and yes they do, and yet things are still so ed up for them that it's worth a try.
I would prefer that you don't talk about this topic unless you actually know the facts and know the whole situation.
I could go on for hours, but I won't

| For all the do gooders like merlin. Go sponsor an asylum seeker, bring him under your roof, you being responsible for him. No help from the government. But i doubt many of you would do that ;) |
