| The way those American troops treated them prisoners is sick, but having worked alongside american soldiers on several occasions it doesnt surprise me,,they really are mostly a bunch of dumb uneducated,undisciplined s....For every action there has to be a reaction, and America certainly got it,,sick ing bastards, I really hope that the people who were responsible for this are caught and dealt with severely,,but i'm sorry,,those American MP's are just as responible for that guy's death..... |

I agree and disagree. What those troops did to those inmates was wrong and they will be punished for what they did. But Nick Berg was no criminal....he was only there to help. But your prob right Steven.....if those inmates were treated right.....this would never of happend. But then again, what if 9/11 never happend. |

which then leads to all these other questions like... what about us helping the afghans in the mid 80s, or what about us being there for the first gulf war... what if those never happened? |

+1 yesterday was horrible.....I cant stress how pissed I was.....and to know that you cant do anything about what happend in the past truly sucks. My best friend is in iraq gaurding a prison camp and when I heard all about this on the news, my stomach dropped. But hes not at the same prison camp so that was a relief. I just cant wait to vote....thats all im sayin. |

i wouldn't make generalized statements about people in the military being dumb s because for the most part they are basically kids. i don't excuse what the soldiers did to those prisoners; i think it is sick. however, we can't lose perspective. our soldiers demeaned, humiliated, and abused humans, but they chop off heads. there is something inherently ed up with most of the militant muslim societies. so back to our soldiers, and letting your kid join the military. aside from this war, the military can be a very positive thing. some people graduate high school and aren't ready or can't afford college but who still have higher aspirations than your mcdonald's clerk. the military pays for their college, allows them to travel, and teaches them a trade/skill. the only cost is well, in a sense, your life...or at least how ever many years you want to give them. the military doesn't however really boil down to the members, it comes down to the leadership. if the military does something wrong you can bet it really comes down to a problem somewhere at the top.

i was tempted to look at the video. i dunno why, perhaps it's like not being able to look away from an accident. but, i knew it was of nothing i wanted or needed to see. it was all my stomach could handle just thinking about it. |

Bush would still have invaded Iraq. Do not be mislead by his propaganda.
And to the person who said that Iraq should have just been made a parking lot a few months ago (PVD_S something something) it's people like who who ought to be thrown in jail and raped and tortured. | Did Blair not in read what Winston Churchill said in 1924 "I hate Iraq I wish I never wasted time and money invading it" I guess most you people didn't know that the British did invade Iraq 80 years ago. Seems wierd that it happen again. Mr.Churchill got nothing out it. THe Bush Adminstration is really ed. I mean they want something good out of Iraq but its just not gonna happen. Sure it was easy going into Iraq but leaving is gonna be a tough one. |
