I'm all about trance. And call me brainwashed. But I enjoy some rap also.
The new Jay-Z album has a lot of good lyrics in it. Some Kanye is good, Twista is alright, and definitely respecting old school like 2 Pac, etc.
I hate the lyrics but I love the production of Big Tymers and especially Manny Fresh, true pimp!
I hate most trashy rap that's played on MTV, least fav song that popular right now being J-Kwon's Tipsy - no talent, same goes for Nelly - when you make a mil or more rapping about shoes (Air Force Ones) there's gotta be something wrong with the society buying this crap. |

| Don't worry Aris - I'm with you on this one. I also love hip-hop, and I love trance. May sound like an odd combo to a lot of you, but that's the way it is. You're gonna get a lotta flames for this though - so just be prepared :toocool: |

mhhmmm, hiphop has always been something i liked,
twista is nice, i always liked the really fast rapping style,
too bad som many mc's changed their style into the
more mellow & flowy style of notorious b.i.g. and the talking style of snoop,
it's a shame, like jay-z, way way way back he had the fast style but then changed it.
but uhhm, nelly didn't have any skills from the beginning so i don't worry about him,
ja rule was ok when he tried to act hardcore back in 1997-2000,
but i always disliked him because of his voice, he sounds to whiney,
in someway kanye west is a fresh thing and also not,
like yeah we need some of the sampling-styled beats,
but i have a bad hunch about him,
he will blow up like the neptunes and then become dull,
it's a shame though.
i'm not saying that i don't like the neptunes,
it's just when they appeared on every ing record, you kinda got sick of them,
just like the irv gotti & the murder inc wave before the neptunes
i also like the style that busta, dmx & redman has,
very like scream-y and intense,
and when they bring comedy into it sounds even better
also i think it sounds like a cliche but the old stuff
(+the new old stuff, pre 97) is way better than the new.
that's enough of me innit |

Neptunes was good when: they were called NERD back in the day (kinda rock and rollish feel to it) and also when they produced Clipse.
Also I gotta say that some Nas tracks make me go bananas!!! A few of his songs have really good lyrics and true life situations, all in rhyme, very good. |

I also enjoy a sound of both worlds, Trance and Hip - hop also R&B to relax/chill and listen to some lyrics.
May i recomend Joe - World of girls
Nice relaxing slow flowing track.
I see nothing wrong with having a taste for few things and bein open minded and not just stuck to a one thing/oportunity leaving you blind to what else world has got to offer :) |

| hmm I like hiphop when it's like A tribe called quest, which probably could be defined as pretty soft and oldschool... some NWA tracks are good too, but in general I don't like rap at all. If it weren't for the rapping in rap I might have liked the music, but the constant whining about how cool they are is just plain anoying... :) |
