I keep thinking of a computational model of it and that something has to remember or cause the next thing to occur...so things that take years...its the whole, how does the system actually work...
then I realise, it doesn't work. |
there is no system and the biggest conspiracy is that there IS no conspiracy. |

| these days there is almost always a conspiracy. don't kid yourself. |

I once took a philosophy course thinking that it would be so wicked and interesting.
I almost died every day sitting in that class. Not because it was so utterly boring, but because I couldn't beleive that a bunch of people got together and made up this bull so that Universities could charge students to learn it thinking that one day they would be able to use it in real life. |

it's not about believing what they teach you, it's about thinking about regular things in different, abstract ways.
seems like you missed the point of the class  |

everything you personally believe is your own philosophy...
so saying that its stupid is a bit contradictory because you believe your own little thing that composes your own little world....
the difference is whether or not its deemed intellectual enough to be taught..
regardless tho- there are like 20 bagillion different kinds of philosophy's and not all of them are as retarded as some...like german idealism. |

ha, thats what I was gonna say.
I never took a philosophy class, mainly because I was warned you talk about nothing and you leave class with a headache.
although I wouldn't mind learning the different theories.. |

well, i slept a lot in class, but it wasn't actually THAT boring. some of it is pretty interesting and logical, except when they try to prove god exists.
but stuff like saying that we infer a lot of things about the world... like when we see the sunset colors, we assume they're caused by the setting sun, but we don't actually see the sun causing those colors... that's interesting.
plus it counts for my literature gened requirement, so more power to philosophy. |

| Mr. Pink |
I mainly took german philosophy classes...
Heidegger's Being and Time
Nietzsche
German Idealism class
All of which proved to my brain up immensely:wtf: |

Hm, maybe I did. I was really trying to keep an open mind at the beginning of the semester...otherwise I would have dropped my ass out and got my money back.
 |
