They hit it off and Bob was engaged 6 weeks later and 3 yrs later he married the yankee and 2.5 yrs later they had a mean sob named TTA.

shucks, what a sad story.
boomers, how about that story about two twins who were separated at birth but turned out to live almost identical lives... name their dogs the same and all... |

realise the similarity in parents. when you adopt kids they usually go to wealthy middle class parents....

but seriously, both dudes hated spelling, liked math; both worked as part-time sheriffs, had first wives named Linda, second wives named Betty, named their sons almost the same (James Alan vs. James Allan)
both drove Chevys, named their dog Troy, liked carpentry, built nearly identical benches around trees in their backyards.
had similar medical histories.
all the stuff about liking things and naming dogs isn't what interests me, what interests me is how their wives' names were the same :wtf: and i guess that there is so much similarity in their lives...
all cuz of parents and genes, right? |

realise your sample size. 2 people.
id say that is the most Type I error rate you could try to get...besides using one subject. Which means anything you get from this sample is about 96% due to chance alone.
there is a lot of support for the diathesis stress model (sp.), where you have certain genetic dispositions, however those need the environment to activate them... |

its not a statstic, its a fact. hehe.
seriously, how specific do you want to get with the sample. The more specific the more it does not apply to anyone else.
you could go with siblings, or down to brothers, or down to fraternal twins, or to identical twins, or down to identical twins seperated at birth that never found each other, or down to identical twins seperated at birth that found each other....
the more specific the more chance for error, and less generalizable it is. :P
so poo on your idea. :wtf: |

but you see, there WAS no idea, i was just admiring that they had so much in common and philosophizing about it, and then you came along and pooped on it with your standardized statistical tests... i say off with science, some things aren't MEANT to be analyzed :p |
