Shed some light on Kai Tracid and Scooter

Scooter: german rave/happy hardcore group from '94, but they still produce. Not too popular here.
Kai Tracid: german dj/producer -has some good tunes like Liquid skies, Destiny's path or Only the strong. |

full name
Kai MacDonald, german, first release (1996 or so) was "So Simple" a more minimal kinda techno track, and throughout the years and is now kinda in the trance-techno arena..
His other productions:

he was also doin a track with Sunbeam, under the alias "YODA".. called.. errr..
i think its called. "definitely"
and he started out in Dorian Grey.. the now reknown techno club.. well it used to be anyway...

Scooter is from 1994. Back then they produced HappyHardcore traxx and they were very popular in Germany and in UK in 1994-1996. After that theyr popularity went down fast but they kept on producing traxx...
They came back this year with a song called 'posse' (also known as GUESS WHO! - Posse) Their newest track is I Shot the Dj which is pretty good track (especially the 'Bite the Bullet Remix' :))
I can say abt scooter that many ppl on this forum hate them, but I dont They produce pretty cool music imo. |

I wouldnīt call it "popular". They are often in the german charts, but i think Scooter isnīt played on a "normal" party. Its just some kind of music that kids like to hear :)
The older songs arenīt that bad. I remember "Endless Summer" as a average track... but happy hardcore is death since years.... |

They had some releases before Hyper, hyper...
Check out Scooter - "Cosmos" & "Vallee De Larmes", some pretty cool trance tracks. And besides their stupid commercial releases they made some nice B-sides.
Kai Tracid is behind the Labels "Tracid Traxx" & "Tracid Beta Files", which bring out quality hard trance and acid techno.
Here in Germany you would get a beating for naming KT and Scooter in the same sentence:toothless |

| Another thing about Scooter. Before they started making happy hardcore in 94 they were already a huge synthpop group over in Germany called Celebrate the Nun. They in fact had a huge #1 dance hit on the billboard dance charts called I Will Be There. Celebrate The Nun used to be one of my fave synthpop groups back in the day when I was into all the New Order/Depeche Mode/Pet Shop Boys sound. They released 2 Cds called Meanwhile and Continuous. Check out some of their songs on audiogalaxy, especially the tunes She's a Secretary and I Will Be There. Both are quality old school synth pop! |

i was over in Croatia for the summer, and these two were a big hit there......i never heard of either one b4 so i wondered who they were.......their stuff wasn't bad since it was the closeset as it got to trance there :).......
oh yeah, noboby there has ever heard or heard of Tiesto, AVB, and a few knew of PVD, so i had to introduce them to some of the finest trance the world has to offer :):D

kai is also owner of the "Tracid Traxx" label. They have Hennes & cold under contract. Also DJ Merlyn. They had a summer tour last year, saw them on mallorca. Really good hard trance.

I agree with you. Scooter have made some cool tracks, for example "Posse" and "How Much Is The Fish"! :whip: |

Hehe, I love cosmos, also "rhapsody in e". Their instrumental stuff is often quality, still is. |
