I don't know if anyone's said this yet but...
JUDGE JUDY
:D
No seriously John - doesn't matter that she works in a lawyer's office. Paralegals and legal secretaries don't know jack . File for the case in Small Claims court - she'll get the hint when she receives the trial notice, and if she still deludes herself into believing that you're stalking her, then, don't hesitate to tell her (at the trial of course) something like: Don't flatter yourself babe, you're dog to me and I'd rather a goat with herpes than get anywhere near your fat ass - I just thought that my was a little too high-class for you to have in your sleazy motel room. |

john, since iknow both of you guys well i can see where both you guys are coming from
but honestly, the best advice i can give to you john... regardless of who the girl is,... if there is a bad breakup (in the friendship) sometimes you just have to cut your losses and move on. some things arn't worth fighting for

Negative... negative... negative. That stuff is yours. If it were me, I'd probably ask her to drop it off at a mutual friend's place so we didn't have to see each other. As dry and clinical an email as you can muster, so that she doesn't idiotically think again that you're trying to see her. |

I do stuff to educate people.
...
Even if you lose, you will have made her life more negative, and thats the goal.
...
I have gotten my ass kicked before, but i know i at least ed them up pretty good too. and thats all that matters.
|
LOL wow... all that matters is 1) educating people, 2) making people's lives more negative, and 3) in' em up.

If you are going to file a case, you are responsbile for the burden of proof. She does not admit to having any of your belongings. If you wanna go to court, you need proof that she has your stuff meaning that she admits to having it, or you have written documentation between the two of you. Also bring the receipts for the stuff to court. IMO, you arent going to win this case if she doesnt admit to having any of your stuff. Plaintiff carries the burden of proof, so you gotta prove that she has what stuff.

im guessing she gave it away or sold your stuff? |

Wow, what a bitch.
She is totally trying to turn the situation around so that it appears that she is being stalked by you.
All insecure people love creating the drama that they are being stalked. Now you are at the butt of this loser's insecurities.
Forget the stuff. Instead, type her a really good email...one that will make her cry in self disgust. Kidding.
:whip:
I know, I am mean. |
1) Listen to this man's explanation of her motive. Best analysis yet!
2) If the cold and dry letter route gets you nowhere (don't spark her fantasies, remember), take the previously suggested cop with email route. Brilliant! She's already implicated herself.
3) If the cops tell you to faq off (they got people like me to pull over, ya know?), threaten small claims court.
4) If these fail, (and maybe even if they don't!), go with a combo of 1) email to make her cry, 2) nekkid pics to the parents, 3) jump her ass. In decreasingly likely order, of course ;) |

And then again, Dmatrox also has a very good point :(.
That 'necessarily' in her "I don't necessarily know where your stuff is" sounds pretty fishy to me. Perhaps she's trying to make you go away before you realize she busted all your while she had her last crying tantrum over you. |

yeah, feelings mutual. I was very nice. Beyond nice to one of them. some of these ladies are odd and run for the hills when they know my wrath was upon them (the collection agency was coming).
:disbelief
the debt wasn't money either. it was something money can't buy.
i'd say just suck it up. Going court over this will cost you more in the end. unless you want to be a drama queen like her.. ;) |

actually I remember now. ther was one girl who owed me a money debt. we were really good friends. I was nice to a fault until I lost it and gave her an earful where she worked one day.
I was so mad back then I swore I get the money back. I ended facing off with her mother to collect the owing. Quite embarrassing. Wasn't so with her that I had enforced the issue with her family.
that day I lipped her off was about a year after the collection. I found her from a new years party of a co-worker mentioning about him working with her by accident. it was the only way to find her all those years! Fawk! |
