This isn't to say what they dropped was bad.. but it just didn't seem to go right with the pace of the night. Woulda been more suitable for a chill evening over some Martini rather than an all lazered out Phazon system. Sadly, the main room looked about 1/4 empty.. the most space i've ever seen in that room in my life for an ALL ACCESS event. the Live vocals gets a (+) tho..

u obviously walked in during their live PA portion and not the dj set....

OMG I DIE!!!!

i dunno wher to start....

but im now one of Czechs new fans as well:D

didnt take too many pics but will post the ones i did take later today

yup, mauro was making music with his hands alright.

but i really dont mind cause it really weeds out the posers that dont know the tunes. If you know techno then you can play along if you wish.

i was in the KH pretty much the whole night.

Picotto's minimal session was pretty crap, about 1 hour into the set, i carried on for a good while but trademark mauro always does this, start hard, boring middle, MINDBLOWING FINALE!

some tunes i recognized:

Mauro picotto - tao tek
Pulsar (2002 mix?)
Amazing
Hong Kong
Awesome
Tell Me Something (his new one!)
Alter Ego - Rocker
Chris Liebing - american madness (andy bau remix) i have on vinyl dont wanna look right now i dont think its american madness
Nathan Fake - Outhouse
Vitalic - Poney 1
Gabry Fasano - LifeCycles/Tonewasher (dont remember which)

There is one tune that BLEW MY MIND!!!!!!!!!!

Ken and I just looked at each other in awe. A TOP QUALITY TRACK!
there was about 2 hours at the end of the set that were all GREAT tracks.

Mauro looked like he was having fun (drunk/drugs)!
His mixing was simply horrid! (one skipping cd, one vinyl hop, and about 10 trainwrecks)! but who gives a the night kicked ass!

Fuad said it best......mauro is the KING OF BUILDS.

great to meet some new tas:
Silka
Wurm
TO Guy
disko-candi
others that i cant remember

and shouts to the classic crew in full force, Tatgirl, Irish Graham, Cuzo, Francis, June, Endlesswave, Desidel, Ezekiel, stereoprincess, ray, etc, etc.

until next time

Carl Cox Bring it!

Wurm- Greg Gow never played tonight- Mauro dropped Blue Monday. He spun til 6:30 & then Addy went on.

Electro was the theme of the Kool Haus today. Loco Dice rocked my world!!! Then went over to catch the Live PA by WOW, but we got trapped listening to the DJ portion until the live stuff got sorted out. Nice stuff, but not up to speed with the rest of the agenda. At 3 went back to the KH to catch MP. He dropped some sick ass electro-based tunes with for the next 45 mins (tho I heard a serious disaster on the decks when I was in the washroom). Then he went all minimal and experimental for a while & lost me for a bit- took this time to lounge on a futon with Vince as we chatted with Andielips & TO Guy. Then things started to pick up a bit so back to the dance floor. MP started to bang out the harder stuff, and he dropped some track at 5:45 that just KILLED US!!!! Soooo good! Seeing that it looked like he was never gonna get off the decks, I headed back to the guv to catch some of Hybrid- pretty nice stuff but headed back to KH. Walked in just as Pulsar 2002 was being dropped as the last tune of his set (6:30am) and there wasnt a better way to end it than that. Addy finally got his 15 mins & was banging out the tech-house. I think this performance by MP was well received by most everyone, as we were witnessing the latest in the series of Mauro's crossovers into different genres. Mixes werent so hot at times, but track selection won major points with me.

Big hug to everyone I hung out with tonight.

a lot of trainwrecks(Picotto...did he actually generate 30secs-1min of feedback? ha ha). Hybrid jumping up and down and then bumping the table making "Four to the Floor" (?) skip was so funny.
Tho to his credit, he played some great tracks.
Some actual shutdowns too (I think there were one or two GOOD recoveries Hybrid made). These things happen I guess. Good night/morning tho. I like the guv being less packed. It'll be interesting to see too how the non-smoking bilaw kicks in, how that changes things as well (re: air quality).

For some reason I really enjoyed the bass in the KH towards the end (or just in general throughout the night). :P sleep...

u obviously didn't know that i walked back into the Guv mainroom during their DJ set. despite the fact that they brought back the tempo it wasn't enuff to affect the flow for the remainder of the nite. stayed for another 20-30 mins and then headed back to the KH to be further assaulted. i thought that WOW should have brought in the harder stuff a little sooner, the set was already starting to drag too late into the night before they started to pick things up. From what I heard Nick Warren had a better Guv set back in 2002 (?). CAn't say too much about Jody on my first time catching him.. so yeah.. u obviously didn't know.. obviously

Not necessarily safe to make that assumption. They have put me to sleep in the past. Very hit and miss with the hybrid boys, a certain Peter Hook incident story comes to mind. (hah RJ likes that one)

they didn't miss too bad .. ;)
