Kill the whistlers! (pg. 8)

I'm not referring to a particular person or place. The Guv might be big enough to get away from it, but many places aren't. Regardless, it's not an excuse. I have dozens of stories of whistlers who have been asked politely over and over again to stop whistling because it's annoying everyone else - most simply ignore the request, often with a rude response. I don't believe whistlers should ever be encouraged, either directly or indirectly (through a "just learn to deal with it" attitude).

well i personally disagree.. yes it can be annoying when you blow a whistle constantly throughout a set.. but sometimes it can be called for for instance.. if everyone knows the song and the dj cuts the volume.. you can whistle along with the tune :D

you need to earn your whistling degree before you can attempt this be warned

!!!!!

^ i agree - there are times where it's really not 'uncalled for' per se....but i think this thread is really referring to the people who whistle ad nauseam throughout the night with no regard to the people around them
Nrg2Nfinit
hehe.. those people should exchange their whistles in for pacifiers :)

Well if someone tried to tell me what to do for whatever reason id tell them to off as well.

Personally speaking, with all the shoving, elbowing, attitude and rudeness that goes on at clubs latelly, whistles are the last thing that worry me.

why doesnt that surprise me?

tell me - do you disagree just for the sake of disagreeing, or is it because you truly believe in your actions?

Nope... im just sick of whiners and complainers.

If you notice whenever i debate or complain it has a consistancy of being against complainers. We have so many real issues out there to deal with yet all people can come up with is whistlers and useless threads. Both can be avoided if not liked. I will again refer to my ever famous example of people who build a house next to a train track and then complain about train noise. This scenerio type is rampant in our society and im sick of it.

for someone who's sick of whining and complaining you sure do a lot of it around here

Just as it's not an unreasonable expectation to not be shoved or elbowed when you're on the dancefloor, so it is to not have to listen to whistles in your ear all night. People came to listen to the DJ, not a whistle in the crowd.

You missed the part where i mentioned that the complaining i do is usually about other's complaining. For example im complaining right now about whistler complainers. ANd i also complain about people who complain about smoking in clubs etc etc.

As for political debating... thats not complaining thats debating. Discussion and debate is how ideas get shared.

ohhhh.....i get it.....when it's about the Liberals or other people's issues, then it doesn't really count....makes perfect sense now

ps> This comment is rather curious coming from someone who wrote "we are all here and we all need to get along in our common society as equals" less than 15 minutes ago in another thread

I hate whistles too and if there's someone near me that does it I just go to another part of the venue...

Debating about other people's issues? Um excuse me but what i talk about affects ALL of us. #2 debating politics is not necissarly complaining. Definately not the same as crying about whistlers, smokers and people's thread topics. #3 We all need to get along in society but that doesnt mean being a lap dog and rolling over everytime some loser complains about you. Come talk to me if im really doing something to cause someone harm and then we can talk.
