Why I hate Blogs
View this Thread in Original format

This is the summary of most "live journals" and "blogs" *whatever the hell a blog is.

"so I met Jenny again today, but it was in my dream, because Im a total loser, and would never think of actually approaching a woman. Anyways! tehehe sorry for rambling. Im like this when I have had two cups of earl grey "twinings" tea. Its super! so in my dream (i didnt get much sleep last night, which you probably know!) I danced with her and I woke up crying. I had to feel my crotch to make sure I still had a penis! somehow, I was still a man"

edit:thats my random hate thought for the night

Yep I know what you mean. That's why I don't read them.

just grow some balls and talk to Jenny, god damnit.

I just cant believe they exist. Its such pansy BS. And it *might* be cool if it was full of quotes like "Pirates! Theyre paranoid! They hide stuff. Could be in their butts!" but its inevitably about how they are bored and 'just typing' or something equally unsatisfying to read. Its like reading *T)!@#ADs* posts for ever.

I got an IM and lost my train of thought. But I think its an emasculating experience to write these things, and is contributing to the pussification and emotionalization of men.

Typical blogs are lame. If you can make it different/actually relevant (which usually means NOT posting every day), they can be decent.

LOL..."pussification":haha: sorry just saw that and couldn't stop laughing

Well obviously if you're using your blog to post all soppy stuff like that it is indeed emotionolizing as you so eloquently put it (Whether that's a bad thing or not is up to each one to decide). However, I find blogs to be quite handy for just posting whatever random thought that pops into your head now and then, which is why I have one.

Also, I fail to see how this:

quote:
"Pirates! Theyre paranoid! They hide stuff. Could be in their butts!" .

is any less unsatisfying to read than this:

quote:
"so I met Jenny again today, but it was in my dream, because Im a total loser, and would never think of actually approaching a woman. Anyways! tehehe sorry for rambling. Im like this when I have had two cups of earl grey "twinings" tea. Its super! so in my dream (i didnt get much sleep last night, which you probably know!) I danced with her and I woke up crying. One takes less time out of your life for having read it.

That may be true, but at least the longer one can give you a laugh and then make it worth your while. The short one is just random bull you can't possibly get if you're not one of the intarweb friends/girlfriends of that particular individual.
