dancefloor is the best place to learn...And maybe some practice at home while listening to ones fav choons might help..

another advice would be if ure dancing somewhere and theres a mirror in front of you, check yourself out and see what works. ones you get what you look like when you dance, then you know what you have to work with and what looks and feels good and you can expand on that.

hehh ya thats actually how i began. been listening to trance for over a year now, but i started going to clubs about half a year ago. wen i got into the club scene i was able to see how others do their thing. i adapted a bit to some of their styles but my dancing is generally the same since i started.

is true... practice makes perfect! the more you get out and party the better your moves will improoooovveee.. So keep on movin and groovin..

If you're that worried about how you look just take some classes, theres some cheap ones at universities. Doesn't even matter if its modern or hiphop, the basics are similar.

When my friends started getting into the scene and trying to learn how to dance i always told them to close their eyes and just listen to the music my one friend is a kick ass dancer now!

Just move with the music... BUT PLEASE, don't stomp, take your shirt off or pump your first in the air with the beat

If you're the jumping type, watch the hardcore ravers do the "hop"... It looks really cool and it's easy, it's all about bouncing "on your knees" so to speak (not literally!)

Don't be shy on the dancefloor, you go out to a club to dance after all... :stongue:

True, true... if you see a gino.. try not to do what he does hehe (flame on). Can't go wrong with the hop, plus it's easy to incorporate other moves into it

I learned to dance in my room :) just shut your eyes and wile out! Just don't break anything, heh. As for the club... the system soundbar (toronto) back room is full of great dancers... i've learned a bunch just watching those ppl. The key, however, is just to get out and shake your ass and have some fun!!!
