I learned from watching my uncle at a wedding reception. Sure, he's in his mid 60's with a beer belly and an overbite, but DAMN, can he move! :D
PartyHarlequin
LMFAO! Good show lol.

Anyways, I think the one thing everyone keeps overlooking is be confident, don't care what others see and eventually you'll find your groove... or the floor.

i think what everyone is overlooking is not to THINK..

forget about confidence or your moves or whatever, just feel the beat pentrate through your body and let your soul speak.

I think I downloaded a couple moves off soulspeak.

I watched how other people moved at parties and just took it from there. When it came to liquiding, I actually had my friend and boyfriend give me lessons. Eventually I picked it up and that's that. The only trouble is that now I only know how to move to trance and I have forgotten how to dance to the top 40 .

Maybe the smoke-free clubs will help you out with your stamina :happy2:

Unless smoke directly corolates to the pain that shoots in my feet and legs, I doubt it. :P

Its not so much a breathing thing as a lack of exercise thing to build strength in my leg muscles and using way too much energy in my old dancing styles.

Though the non smoking laws would prolly help my breathing more so, making me last a bit longer, but I aint gonna stop the drugs, thats for sure...mwahahhahaha.

Like everyone is saying, just do it.. it will come with time...

I started off with breakdancing so I had some moves from that and then I tried to mimick some moves I liked when I went to raves, and I developed my own style...

I remember the exact time when it happened too...

PVD thxgiving.. all of a sudden it all came together and I was pulling out moves that made MY headspin.. its so much fun to make up new moves...

I find dancing to be alot like mixing records... the key is to match and synchronize with the beat.

When a dancer can hit the beat with their movements, then they will almost always look good. This can be a simple hop or much harder movements.

In order to hit the beat, I find it just takes practice.
