Just finished reading:
Carlos Asensi - El Diablo tiene Nombre (Spanish book), interesting, but boring at times
Anne Rice - Vittorio, the Vampire (really enjoyed this one, not a big fan of vampire books, but this one's good)
Next book:
P.D. James - The Murder Room (don't know about this one, my grandma gave it to me, looks good though) |

recently read Chuck Palahniuk's: Survivor (author of Fight Club). awseme book, especially the 2nd half. I also gave Communist Manifesto (karl marx / freddy engels) another read...still have trouble with the socialism section...)
i kinda wanna read Valley of the Dolls next... |

| Just got finished reading Contact by Carl Sagan not too long ago, and old book, but very good. Much better than the movie. Also, if you havent read it yet, the Invisible Man by Ralph Elison, anybody read poetry? My fav is The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock by T.S. Eliot |

| I recommend 'White Noise' by Jack Delilo. This is a great book which comments on American family, society, and attitudes on advancement |

hahaa. Valley of the Dolls is a good book and although I've read it, i still have yet to see the movie.. I'm always wanting to read a book, then see a movie but it never works out like that. I either read the book, don't see the movie or hate the book and see the movie.. i need it to happen at least once !!!
anyways.. I'm starting "Geography of Nowhere" and "Fast Food Nation" tomorrow; can't decide which first. |

i would recommend reading some Bret Easton Ellis. if you really want a mind-, read American Psycho (we all know the movie) or Glamorama (my personal fav). he also has some tamer books like The Rules of Attraction (which was also made into a movie), Less Than Zero (again, a movie), and The Informers, which is a collection of short stories.
Glamorama starts off kind of slow, but about half-way through the book the story changes and just mind-s you left and right. there were passages in that book that gave me nightmares for weeks. it's pretty long (546 pgs), and it's one of those books that you need to read a few times to really let it soak in and figure out. i highly recommend it though, if you're into that kind of fiction.
right now i'm reading a memoir titled A Million Little Pieces, by James Frey. it's the story of his recovery from heavy alcohol and drug abuse. about 120 pages into it so far, and it's good!
Catcher In The Rye is also one of my favorites. everyone should read it at least once. |

lets revive this! i just read violets and blue by James patterson,
i found it ok, after reading roses are red, realised reading it before a few of his earlier books ruined a few small things though,
anyone else a fan of james patterson? |

Currently reading The Rule of Four by Ian Caldwell and Dustin Thomason..
