I probably won't try LSD or shrooms, because I have some hardcore paranoia, and doing hallucinogens will most likely me up beyond recognition

for jakligt!

well it seems someone is going to Uppsala!

the thing is, drugs of any kind, especially hallucinogenics are supposed to be completely awful. ( def not including smack or coke)

the thing is - they arent cigs or booze, and there is a reason for that. for one, you cannot afford them as much - but much like salvia - they dont require addictive use as much as booze or cigs (IMHO).

pot doesnt fit this, but then again I would say its better than almost anything above.

never used cid, tried shrooms for a fair bit. never crazy ed up, but always interesting- and to me, always worthwhile. personally my life gets ed up by more mundane things than psyilocibin or mdma. (that being said I am a rare user of either). skal|

Often when I trip on shrooms, I will realize the significance of all the things around me, and how they work together. I see the trees, and think about how people say they are inanimate, but if you were to watch long enough, they wouldn't be. Or how those trees have seen the world change all around them, without being involved. They just stay there as the world evolves around them, staying the same. Weird like that.

I also come to revelations. About my life, society, people around me. The last time I did shrooms, I had several revelations. And it changed me a lot. I cut certain people out of my life, and I started to bring more positive energy in. I decided what I needed in my life, and what I didn't want. Huge life changing decisions were made that night.

Shrooms put you in a different mind set. You are still thinking through your brain, but from a different perspective you can't achieve alone. You think of things in a way you never normally would. The shrooms help you use that different way of thinking.

I think that a person trips bad if they are unhappy inside, and they trip good if they are content with themselves. I think the true you comes out when you do drugs. If you are a generally miserable person, and you hate the way your life is going, you will see bad , and think crazy things. If things are good, you will see good stuff, and think of nice things. So I suggest that if you have some issues, not to delve into this realm of drugs.

I only did acid once, and it was the worst experience of my life. NEVER again.

I know it's been mentioned alreadty, but it needs to be stressed. If you are going to try LSD, you must be in a good mental state!! I know from experience. I took just 2 double dips after breaking up with my ex, so had my friend with his ex. There were three of us and we all had the worste trip of our lives!! SCARY STUFF if you are mentally stable at the time.

p.s. lsd can cause a pretty dramatic emotional state after taking it. It can last anywhere from a week to a couple years. I had it for about a year and it was horrible. A deep depression.
Drugs are bad, mmmmmkay.

While on a eigth of shrooms...I went out and listened to trance in my car.

BEST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE EVER.

Ive only done it twice...and I sure as hell cannot do ANY narc anymore (Federal Government owns me).

But listening to DJ Tiesto - Live @ Dancevalley 2003 was the most unbelievable trip Ive ever lived through.

I just closed my eyes...let my body go limp...and my mind was literally seeing the music. I was in a HUGE cloud-like city with so many amazing colors...like a really gorgeous sunrise or sunset. I could see the dancers down below me...I was "flying" by the way. I could hear them in the track on the cd...and SEE them moving and clapping below me.

I could see every sound make some kind of wicked visualization. It was unbelievable.

I physically couldnt feel myself sitting in my car. I was tripping so hard that I was in another world.

When I went back inside to the party...I didnt see dwarves and fairies flying around...but everything I DID see was distorted in its own weird way. Like peoples faces were "stretched" ...bigger smiles...bigger eyes...things like that.

Sounds didnt make any clear sense. I could see people talking and saying random stoner/shroomer talk...but my mind couldnt comprehend what they were saying. It was weird. All we COULD say together was that we really knew we were tripping and that we were tripping together...as a team...lol it was stupid.

I didnt want to do anything stupid...believe it or not I was quite aware of what I was doing.

The only thing I hated was that its impossible to eat...because your attention span is RIDICULOUSLY impulsive. Like weed x 10. And even when I wasnt eating...I would ALWAYS feel that there was crumbs and food mess on the sides of my lips...and there never was food.

Physically...I literally felt the blood flowing. It feels like millions of little bubbles running through you. Its pleasent and I would always touch my legs or objects.

Every single item in the house had value and interesting factors about them. I dont know why.

I become EXTREMELY paranoid when Im on shrooms. Like Im afraid that cops are going to come to the house and know we were ed up. Thats highly unlikely...but still I was nervous as . Dont know why.

Shrooms are crazy...and I didnt feel horrible during or after. But its a fungal poison...and Ive only done it twice. So becareful if you do it.

All you people who have tried shrooms... specifically, which species? There are soo many different kinds of psychedelic mushrooms, and the variation in people's responses (bad/good) could also have a lot to do with exactly which kind they tried.

I'd love to try shrooms myself, but I need to know which kind gives the "best" experience (the most reality-shifting, consciousness-expanding one).

Oh and for different conscious states, yeah meditation is good. Also try hypnosis and lucid dreaming. Definitely adds spice to life :)

Having tried LSD and mushies on several occasions, I would say that LSD provides the much more powerful *mental* buzz. Mushies are a good *body* buzz.

With that being said, my first *real* LSD experience was in the summer of 1997. We were at a festival of one of the more popular hippie bands of the time (band name is besides the point since this is a Trance forum).

So..my friend and I found some excellent blotter hits from some random guy on the runway. Both of us ingested about 5 hits each, not really knowing what to expect. About an hour or so later the buzz started to come on.

I won't bore you with mundane trip details, but I can say that this experience opened my mind like never before. During the trip I could feel the essence of humanity and life. In the weeks following the trip, I saw myself being more empathetic of others. I realized the difficulties of being human. I started to contemplate the meaning of life.

Are we humans really any more different than a flock of birds, or a colony of ants? In the grand scheme of things I don't think so.

...and so I stated to read literature like the Doors of Perception and Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test by Tom Wolfe, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter Thompson, etc.

In the end, I think using LSD was not a mistake. It opened my mind up to things I would never have thought of without it.

If you are mentally prepared for the consequences of an LSD trip then by all means go for it. If not, just know that you may not ever be the same after the trip.

Enjoy!

(call me crazy or whatever, I don't care  This is simply how it affected me)

thats weird. ecstacy is about as comtemplating the energy of universe as i get.

Mushrooms were prolly one of the best experiences of my life... even tho I did have a bad trip one time...

They opened my mind to what I had never seen or thought of before, and honestly changed my outlook on life... I think in a different way now than I use to and it creates other possibilities... I'll never be the same again.. and I ain't complaining about that.. :)

Hahah wtf I don't remember making that post earlier in this thread about flaming, I think that was one of the nights I was coming down and just in an arsed mood :p

I've never had an experience with LSD and only 2 with mushrooms but they were both very positive experiences and I'm glad that I tried it. The first time especially, I completely put my life into perspective of who I was on this planet and what I meant to it. My friends and I sat in an art museum for like 2 hours just discussing everything and analyzing the world. People gave us really weird looks :p I held onto two cigarettes for the whole time because they were 'part of me' and I couldn't let them go to someone else because it might upset my balance, lol.

I have had a few experiences with 2c-i which is somewhat like acid (so I'm told) and ecstasy and that's a whole different beast.
