The point is, there shouldn't be even a thought process as to start a smoke up only to 'test' the system.

I dont think anyone can confiscate your pack before you walk into any club. Why? because its not illegal to possess and most clubs do have patio or will let patrons go outside to smoke. Nice try though doorknob. |

Actually I have, so yes it is possible. And the reasons why they wont let people come into clubs with bottle of waters, or pop is far different than the reasons for having a pack of smokes on you (I am not in the mood to explain, so if you cant figure it out, step away from the computer and resume to eating those paint chips in the backyard you dumb in *general comment to everyone btw*). So once again, no, they will not confiscate your smokes, anyone who thinks they will be, is an outright twit. No club should enforce such a rule aslong as they have patios or areas designated outside for smoking, the only place you should enforce those rules is inside a club and if that person is directly violating said given rule.

Do you people really think that cops are gonna come outta their way to help a health inspector fine you for a by-law, when they know they cant even make you produce an ID. Most cops have better things to do with their life then to chase the dreaded "smoker"...."ooooh save me save me officer, hes killing me with second hand smoke!" *screams like a little girl* Bunch of in pansies on here. If I was a cop, I know I would smack you across the face with my nightstick and tell you to go suck on your momma's titty. Come back to me with a real infraction of the law. |

| I think the thread starter is just arguing semantics. Which is ok sometimes but who cares in this case?? (It just drives people nuts...) Meh, you're examining something that has no real relevance for people. Why not put your efforts towards something that REALLY matters instead of something stupid like this? |

I remember back in the day in some all ages clubs they confiscated cigarettes from everyone.. and even if it was illegal for them to do this, what was a smoker gonna do, say no and walk in anyway? |

Obviously cops aren't going to "chase after" smokers !!! The business owners will not let you smoke, and thier staff with enforce it. Just like they do not let under age people in incase the liquor inspector comes, except smoking is more obvious and will be enforced more often.
So it's day 2 of non-smoking? How is it going everyone?? |
