| What's more important is that #93 is a reference to Aliester Crowley, the Ordo Templi Orientis, and the religion Thelema. More specifically the phrase 'love is the law, love under will' which is in the greek language gematriacally (isopsephy is the greek term) associated with both the words 'agape' and 'thelema' because they correspond to the number 93. Like I said I was being cheeky. |

Back when i was around 8 years old i was at a restaurant with my parents and the most beautiful sound i had ever heard came over the speakers.I'd never heard anything like it.It brought me to tears it was just the most amazingly beautiful sound i had ever heard up till that point in my life.I didn't find out what it was for quite some time.A few years later my dad told me that he used to listen to a group called Kraftwerk.I listened to some of there stuff i thought they were awesome.I wanted more like it.I started searching for similar music.Around the age of 17 i discovered the song that had been emotionally grafted into my very soul ever since i heard it at 8 years old.It was "Children" by Robert Miles.I found out it was something called trance.Next thing i know i'm in a music store looking at the electronica section.I randomely picked out some music to buy.Just so happened i picked up "Tranceport" by Paul Oakenfold and "Parade of the athletes" by Dj Tiesto.Tranceport took me on an emotional almost spiritual journey the likes of what the song "children" by Robert Miles had done for me before.I've been hooked on electronica specifically this music called trance ever since. |

I'm new to posts in these threads so here I go:

Favorite Movie: Anything interesting enough not to make me fall asleep. Comedies are usually a fav, but I really enjoy Sci-Fi stuff too.
Favorite Band: Wow, this list is too long, I could mention a few: Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, Cultura Profetica, well to sum it all up I listen to a little bit of everything, from Hip- Hop and jazz to electronics, and my soul is a little rock star.
Favorite Food: I love food, I think eating is my second hobby, first one being sex (of course), but I love to cook and eat at fancy places, the whole wine and dine skit.
Occupation: Currently a computer engineer student (and working investigations in college), but I graduate in May 07, and that's when I move to TX and start my "adult" life full of responsabilities..., since I got a job offer over in Dallas.
I used to post a lot in the Atlanta forums because a really good friend of mine moved there and he told me he met some really cool people through the forums. I'm hoping that I can make at least some contacts so that when I move to Dallas I wont be so lonely with all the married techies to keep my company, *cry*, I'm not your average computer geek lol, I do spend a lot of time hooked up programming but it comes with the job... I'm a natural socialite; I love to have fun and throw jokes around, which are usually full of sting and sarcasm. Nothing like a good laugh and a couple of drinks to lighten anyone's mood, cheers to you all! |

Hey everyone!!
I just wanted to do a quickie intro here. I know most people did that format, but I really don't like formats :D
Anyways, my name is Will and I just moved to Shreveport, LA [Bossier City, actually, but whatever] up from Iowa/Illinois. I originally grew up in Chicago [CTA#74], and went to school @ Iowa State University.
I graduated in May w/ a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology and then commissioned into the Unites States Air Force as a 2nd Lt. In the past 6 months since then, i've been living all over the deep south, from shreveport to montgomery, al for random duty assignments.
but i'm finally in S'port and stationed at Barksdale AFB. I just bought a home [closing on friday!] so i'm stayin' put for the next 3-4 years.
I'm a big trance/prog and a little it of house fan. I usually like Armin, but have recently gotten into Sasha as well. pretty much, if it has a good beat, and a good bass, i'll listen to it :D
anywho, that's me. just thought i'd intro myself. |
