Death not a surprise. News reports had him failing badly this morning.
He was a good American who will be remembered in our Nation's history.
Hate to hear stuff like that, but remember we're all waiting in the queue as well...

No matter what I think of his policies or the diefication of him over the last decade by the conservative types, he always seemed to be a likeable guy.
I will admit that, as one of the few members of this board who was born before he was in office and grew up during his 2 terms in office, I am having a difficult time reconciling the image of him as the likeable figurehead of my childhood with the feelings I have as an adult looking back at his policies. But the biggest credit I can give him is that, while he was by far the most ideological president in recent times (if not in history) he was able to work with people who did not agree with him and come to some kind of solution, good or bad, in the end.
Knowing first hand how alzheimer's patients and their families have to suffer, it is as much a blessing as it is a curse for him to have passed.
I wish his family nothing but the best.
